Moped project #1

So since we moved less than a half mile from my wife's work, and most of my friends already ride mopeds, we finally broke down and got one for the wife. I will be getting one soon myself and I am starting a custom moped project too.

I got the wife an 86 Golden Bullet which is NOT very common at all. I got it cheap and the only new parts it needed were the throttle cable, petcock (no homo), and gas. We needed to clean up a bunch of items and it still needs some minor attention but it runs and is so much fun already!!

If you know anything about Peds then here is the info. Delorto 14 Carb with stock jet, Bi-turbo exhaust, and stock intake with riser. Removed oil injection and running pre-mix.

Here are the pics.

Day one!

Video of its first start before we even redid the cable, fine tune the idle, or tighten up the rear wheel and bearings etc.

It runs pretty strong already. I still need to put a lot of it back together but it got late so that is for today and this week.

Nice^
I thought about a ruckus with the conversion but I decided I really wanted a pedal start etc. Once this is running clean for the wife I will be doing a custom Moped project from a step through frame.
