Genesis Sedan 4.6

Well like the title says I drive a 09 Genesis Sedan 4.6, this is my first VIP car. Coming from a lowrider background and very familiar with air suspension. I have built a two mini trucks and have helped out on countless builds in my area. Now on to why I have joined this forum, well since none of my knowledge is in VIP,car, or this air suspension  I could really use the help of everyone out there. I am aware of just a hand full of them over in Japan and Korea BUT since I dont speak either of those languages maybe someone on here has seen or know of any that are done and know what struts/bags they have gone with. Any sort of help would be really appreciated.

The Hyundai Genesis is not a vip car... You can make it look like one if you put enough time and effort. Even then it'll be vip styled. 
 
I haven't seen a real Genesis build yet. I've seen plenty of photoshops and there are a few members here that have purchased these cars recently. 
 
I say that you do the research and the testing and get your Genesis built nice. Air suspension is a piece of cake. There's no real science to it. Call up UAS and they'll recommend something to you.

I dont see why the Genesis couldn't qualify as a VIP after all is a big sedan and full of luxury. They are starting to catch on in Japan. I have seen a few already on air suspension. UAS "thinks" that they might be able to do it but since there already a few bagged I was hopping by joining this site someone may have already seen/know of a company that makes a kit for it.

look for the member named "Vipd Out" he just got one too! He's had 3 VIP car so far so he knows what he's doing.  Good luck, they're sweet cars.

i think what he meant was that it's not a traditional vip PLATFORM. Not that its not luxurious. But being a "Luxury" car from the factory doesn't automatically make it vip.


but you can def VIP-style it..

Not much aftermarket support...but good luck!

I sell them, and I love them.

test drove the 2012 r spec and the 3.8, really nice cars.

The sedan does have pots of potential for sure. Just looks kind of plain without substantial drop and kit.

this is something i would like to see (other than the pics posted), genesis, IMO, is a good platform for a "VIP styled" project.

This is a great car for a VIP STYLE car. I know its not your traditional VIP cars but when done right can look just as good as the rest of them. There is not alot of after market support for these cars but I'm sure when the car prices drop and the right people get there hands on them there is going to be a HUGE following. Right now MEGAN RACING is the only company in the USA that is making a coilover kit for them. I have contacted all of the air ride companies and only one ( i forget the name ) was interested in doing an air ride kit for me but they need to have my car and I was located to far away. There is a company in Korea that makes a coilover kit (not ARK) but KSPEC. They wanted $1500 shipped and I didn't really trust them. Its hard to deal directly with an over sea's company.

I don't suppose you would be willing to let Little Jason borrow ur oem struts in order to get an airride setup made for our car?

Thats the next step. To contact all the air ride companies again and see who wants my stock struts to get this ball rolling.
