Woodgrain "floormats"

Just did this to my ls400, and was wondering what your guys' thoughts were on it? If people are interested i can write how to do it, wasnt that hard at all.

still havent had time to do the fronts, so going to wait for my next days off to get them done.

Interesting idea...I've seen VW kids do their trunks in hardwood/laminate. I REALLY dig the rear center console "extension"

I was thinking about doing that. Did you get the wood tiles from Home Depot?

Interesting....looks too boxey though.

Jin from Kyoei has some on his LS. Pretty cool. He told me he only puts them on for a show cause it's too slippery.

I think so too. I think its the end pieces that i put to go under the seat. I will probably take those off, so that it is just the floor length.

maybe can spray like an anti- slip kind of coating? Still look shiny but, grips for your shoes.

This is pretty awesome!  :)   I like the glossy look and I think it doesn't matter if it is slippery.
Not like people are going to be walking around and slipping & sliding in the back seat because the floor is too slippery.
More shiny/glossy is more VIP and more elegant I think.

I have so many extra pieces of wood after doing my house, that I've considered doing this and more to the car

What happen to the write up on these?

Kinda cheesy to me...it's not what I would expect to see in a luxury car.  Why not do marble tile? Granite? Overkill right?

Theres a guy who has that already i seen. His even locks up as well for a secure lock hatch to the wheel compartment.

Does that piece over the hump open up? Im thinking of ways of fitting a fridge...any suggestions on a good size for backseat installation?
