need help choosing LS430 coilovers

I've tried searching but not coming up with much...I'm looking to purchasing some coilovers for my LS and giving it a bit of a VIP taste. I would like to know peoples experience with coilovers on how low they can go. I'm looking for something close to a factory quality ride. Thanks!

I run extreme drop BC coils, and they'll go low enough to make the car undrivable.  When it comes to riding low/VIP stance, having a soft and cushy coilover setup just won't work. The lower you go, the less suspension travel you want, especially with VIP type rim fitment and the notorious Lexus upper control arm(makes contact with the strut towers during compression).

The coilover people say feels like stock are Tein Comfort Sports, which have a 6k/4k spring rate. For comparisons sake, I custom ordered my BC's to come with a 14k/12k setup.


So, either forget about a factory type ride, or plan to get a set of custom valved coilovers AND airbags.

like aesop said it's a trade off. you need to analyze your priorities and go from there. if comfort is at the top of the list you're going to need to establish your personal threshold (how much can [I]you[/I] take) and continue to set up from there. if you're chasing the perfect stance you will have to put your ride quality preferences on the back burner and do what it takes to make the car drivable at that height.

I think both of the them nailed it on the Head, everyone is different. what i call comfortable may not be what you want. i have ksports, and i got those only because the postive comments from them. GoodLuck.

Got it! I'm aware about the lower the more suspension travel would take effect, I experienced this on my SC. I don't want my car slammed either but for it to have a nice stance. I got a few wheels stored that I'm debating to go with for the right stance. Thanks for the feedback, I'll consider the ksport and search online on reviews

I also have ksports and i have to say i really like them. To me they ride really good and they go pretty low.
