Are 97/98 parts interchangable?

I have a 98 q45 and need of some parts.


What I want to know is if majority  much 97-01 parts are interchangable. 

Now, I went to Infiniti and had them run a diagnostic on my car which was fine, but I asked can check out my sunroof because it appeared to be stucked meaning wouldn't close or open.  They pretty much told me it was stuck and that I need new motor,  rails and reinforce assembly. 

My question can I use these parts from my dad's 97 and put them on mine?

yes

97-98 is body color and 99-01 is glass.... I think people switch between.  I think more for the glass since some 97-98 start rusting.

97-98 have a metal sun roof, not glass??

Is it possible to use my resisting 98 parts motor,  rail reinforcement ass and then get 99 sunroof?  Or would you l need to get new motor,  rail,  reinforce ass, and sunroof itaelf?

I had my sunroof do the same thing. Actually in the process of getting used tracks with the cables off ebay. The glass roofs use different tracks and motors. Mine had the cables come out of the tracks. 

Its a bitch had to pull the headliner down and sunroof frame to access everything. Ghetto rigged it by slipping the wire and compressing the clamps down some more. Worked temporally until last Sunday.
