Newest vip-in-training saying Hi.

Hi VSC, noob here, I've lurked for a while thru a few friends profiles and finally decided to make one of my own. I currently drive a gas guzzling suburban but I do intend to buy a big body four door car. I love the luxury look and I've been reading the arguments between vip platforms, vip style, and vip influenced. I want to make it clear it is not my intention to buy a non vip platform and call it a vip car. I am however torn between the ls400 and the 740il and whichever I choose to purchase I will do so calling it vip style bc to me its the style I'm choosing. I love what I see here on VSC, I've learned a lot from lurking and now that I made my own profile I will be leaning on learning a lot more.

ok so I found a v12 750il and I plan on seeing it this weekend. If everything checks out to be good then I'll be the proud owner of a new project car/daily driver. I don't mind to ride around "under construction". http://knoxville.craigslist.org/cto/3076178010.html

Welcome. I personally would go with the LS. But whatever you choose good luck with the build.

i would love an LS the only problem is that its hard to find a pre 98 LS with less than 200k miles on it around here. I know the v12 will have me hurting at the pump since it will be my daily but thats the price one pays to play.

that is true. I'll have to find a good mechanic that can go over the engine on any LS's I find. Like I said most pre 98 LS's around here have over 200k miles. I want to drive the car everyday not just pull it out on the weekends or for shows.

The 750Li is not a V12. It is a V8.. If you want a V12 then you will have to get a 760Li. What part of Knoxville are you in?
