Y50 question

looking to order a lip kit soon and i've noticed that my front bumper is a little bit different then other 08 M35's. i thought it may be a sport bumper but it's not. so i'm little confused what one it is. if yall could shead some light on it that would be dope. this could be a really dumb question so im sorry lol heres a pic

Lol.  You have the nonsport bumper, which means ur car is either an M35 or 45, but not a sport model.  Since it's an 08+ it's most likely an M35 or 45X.

i know it's just a M35 i just had a question about fitment really on a lip kit.

i think you should buy the sport bumper... and let me have your non sport  :biggthumpup:

Yeah you have a non sport bumper I would look into getting a sport bumper one of the best choices i made

Oh Ok, I misunderstood the question sorry.  I put the 08+ sport bumper on my 07 with no issues.  You should definitely be able to!

I think it's the h style lip for a 5 series bmw, I found it on eby for 120 bucks, question is if it is the correct width. The guy with the white M didn't mention what it was only that its off a beemer.

with that white it stands out but with my black car i'm worried it might blend in really

They make a cf one for a hundred more, that would look good too. Either way the lip is a cheaper mod than buying the sport bumper.

So heres another question... Im gonna get wheels next week but i cant decide on 19's or 20's. I kinda wanna run 19 but worried they will look to small on my platform. What do yall think

this man^^^... lolol well i just found out that my soon to be wife bought me wheels as a wedding gift.... i have mixed feelings about this b/c idk what ones she got but she said they are 20's and good offset lol now... understand she has extremely minimal knowledge bout the style... i have a strong feeling that they are not high end wheels like work/weds/luxury abstract ect. so lets hope it's something i can live with for a little while to make her happy then sell... i mean it's the thought that counts right? :dunno:

maybe she's been trollin the forums. you can only hope LOL. this is why i don't like buying surprise presents. if i buy someone something, esp. something expensive, i'm gonna buy them something i know they 100% want or can use.

Lol doubtful she been trollin haha i mean i just hope they are bearable ya know ha she gets her feelings hurt pretty easy so i gotta be nice...  We shall see. I agree 100% on making sure thats what they want but she is just like that haha (bitting nails)

the top of my front A arms are hitting. have to cut a hole for yours and if you have do you have any pics so i can see where/how to cut the hole

He's on coils and his set up is too low unlike your air system you air up to drive. 

Most people with coils also remove wheel liners for less noise, 2nd would be lower eng liner warps with the heat and scrapes all the time. It can be removed or trim.

I trimed my front liners & lower eng liner on my M45.

what is your height set to on the front? I know with my bags I can ride at 24.5" and with some small bumps on the road I dont have any damage going on. Maybe bcuz you have an 08....? Last question can you make a U turn, wheel turned all the way with your height now?

Mex I think he is set on 24" front & 24.50" rear.

I can't see this car running at 65mph without problems, unless on smooth roads

on the top of the inside fender (fronts) in the middle you'll see a metal lip. this lip needs to be shaved down or cut out. you'll also need to to trim the liner or just take them off as many do.

you'll also be much happier if you set up at 25" (or more) at all 4-corners if you drive by yourself all the time.

Also a stiffer front spring rate would help alot.

I tried to talk to D2 Racing in NC but they don't want to hear it.

i raised it up a tiny bit i'm now at 24.5 on all four... i need to just get air but can't till next year sadly b/c of my wedding and honeymoon
