93 LS400 taillight bulbs
How do i change them out?? I'm referring to the ones that embedded into the body of the car, not the ones on the trunk lid. There is one bulb where the wires are surrounded by this black rubber, how do i take out that bulb? Do i have to take out the whole tail light assembly to expose the bulb or what? Help!

Usually (not speaking from Toyota experience) the black piece is a grommet that goes around the wiring to seal out the elements. You just need to apply a bit of force or possibly a screwdriver if your's are really stuck on.

force or screwdriver? so do i need to take out a screw? there usually isn't a screw when it comes to taking out a bulb unless you mean using a screw driver to help undo a clamp but i don't even see a clamp on this freaking thing.. this sucks..
"how many vip'ers does it take to unscrew a light bulb?" =(

no no, the black part is a grommet held in place by... itself. Use a screw driver to force it out of place to be able to get at the backside of the bulb.

Did you get it figured out yet? You do not remove the black grommet.
Remove the entire taillight housing by peeling back the inner trunk liner, and there are 2 10mm nuts to remove. Then the entire light housing pops out (straight back), you replace the necessary bulbs, and then put everything back together.
