Help with tire size for 19x11?

Hi guys, I'm new here. I'm in the process of rebuilding my SSR GT3 wheels for my 2gs. The rears will be 19x11+24. I want to run a 255/35/19 since I only have a shaved fender. I'm looking for a cheaper tire and it looks like Nankang is my only option. Am I missing any other brands that make a cheap 255? I really wish Achilles made a 255. I know some people are going to say run a 245:
1. Roads are terrible and I don't need blowouts in case my newborn is ever in my car.
2. Moved back to southern Louisiana where I'm sure the few tire shops around won't want to do it for me. I probably will have to beg just to get them to mount the 255's.

One more question. Just how bad are Nankangs? For reference, I've had federals, nexens, and achilles before. Are they just the same?

Federals kind of let me down before. I know they run big so I don't really want try try their 255 if they have one. I had a pair of 225/35/19 federals and the sidewalls starting cracking on a 19x8. They were on my 2gs, so I don't think they were overloaded. Maybe I just had a bad set.

I have been running exlaims which have been Discontinued. But the invo are nice as well but I think u can do a 245/35 with ease on an 11 255/35 is an expensive tire.

nexen's seem pretty good.. stretch well and are pretty quiet.. had some nankang's and they were really loud.

i'm on nexen n3000s and never had an issue.....ran nexens on 4-5 different sets of wheels with no problems ever!

I've had nexens before, the problem is they don't make a 255.

Nankang is good choice

id go with a 245/35 on that size wheel.

I was just about to come in here with more questions. I'll be running about 2 degrees of camber, how many miles am I looking at getting out of the nankangs? Thinking about a 255/35 on a 19x11.

Also thinking about running the new general gmax, but that's more $$$$$.

Note. I have 4 255/35 (2) exclaims and (2) invos. I can sell u a set.

Pm me your asking price for each. Have they been stretched before? I remember reading you shouldn't stretch a tire a second time.

well if thats the case - i shouldnt stretch them every time I flip them but yes they have been - the generals yes - one invo has been stretched but the other one has not

Sorry for thread jacking, but what are your guys' take on stretching the tires twice? Like when you flip them so the inside is out and outside is in.

I'm running my achilles flipped and so far so good. Granted I'm not driving the car everyday. 

Back on topic... federals are the worst tires I have ever ran.  I'm running a 245/35 on my 11
