Y33 steering rack?

I have a '97 Q45 and I had to replace the starter, and while I was in there i noticed that the steering rack boots were both broken and leaking. The question is can I retro fit the cheaper steering rack from the touring model, or do i have to use the base model one that's approx. $400 more?

for steering racks i usually go rebuilt from rackdoctor.net. he's an enthusiast so i've even got him to do some custom stuff with parts i reseached and provided in the past.
