Visiting Hawaii

Hi VSC,

My wife and I are planning to visit Hawaii in October of this year. Possibly can some locals point us to some of the things to do out there? I saw the other thread posted by sessions but that is all food related, which is making me hungry. :pat:

We will be flying into Honolulu, are the other island worth visiting? If so, which ones? Should we plan ahead to book flights to the other islands?

Also I will be visiting my cousin who just got stationed there, he is in the Army.

Any advice would be awesome and greatly appreciated. 

Also I would like to possibly attend a meet if there is any out there during that time.

Oahu hands down has the most action.  But if you are looking for a more laid back time, outer islands would be the way to go.

Thanks, It's going to be more of a laid back vacation... So far we have planned to be in Oahu for 4 days, Kauai for 3 days and Maui for 4 days and then back to Oahu for 1, think that is enough?

Sound like a pretty good schedule there.  Start where the action is, go outer island to chill and one more day of coming back to the action before going home.

Where are you staying at on Oahu?

Don't know yet, trying to find something that isn't to crazy expensive but at least somewhat decent.. Any recommendations?

A lot of great hotels on Oahu, Sheraton Waikiki, Westin, Hilton, Hyatt you can't go wrong.  You get what you pay for.  If it is cheap, don't get your hopes too high.  Like they say....if it seems too good to be true...it probably is.

Ok, we figured no need to stay in a 5 star, as all we are going to do is sleep there, and not much else..

How is food out there? Seems to be real good from the other thread. Is it pricey?
