The fronts are sitting at 50% and rears i changed in spring and are sitting at 70% .. I tried running as much positive camber as i could to make it less wear on the tires. fronts have a little bit of wear but there was no way i could go hella flush. pics are down or if you wanna see them on car: http://www.vipstylecars.com/forums/showthread.php?29360-Cima-Temporary-Status

I really dont know what they did but these wheels had been packaged up (banded) with let me add, NO duct-tape and all bands connected and tightened. Upon arrival customer see's them like this. This makes me sad to see how the world is run and how they misstreat product! I hope everyone see's what UPS did to screw this up because it only puts more stress on myself and the customer.

If i took pictures i would've shown you by now but i didnt. They had four of those blue bands that you see in the picture on each pair of wheels which were packed face to face with foam in between. I do the X's and also two bands to hold them to the wheel going perpendicular with the tires with cardboard and foam along the outer barrels of the wheels. This is the work of Canada customs who had to of cut the banding to see if there was anything inside of the wheels. Those bands were so tight i could lift the pair just by holding one band. I'm sorry to see this happen to such a nice set of rims.

Not gonna lie, a lot of that looks like old rash, really dark in the mashed portions of the metal. Not cardboard/ shipping rash.

i agree with you about ups but when i contacted you about it the first thing you said was its not your concern, you dont give refunds, and not to contact you contact ups.

basically i felt like i was on my own with these damaged wheels. i had no choice but to accept the damage.

whoever has me on instagram (durty_stancin) knows exactly what these wheels looked like before shipping as i took a picture of this car daily and how i've always cleaned and maintained these wheels when they were on. A lot of this rashing is shipping. That big one was back when I bought the wheels in japan (bought like that).

If thats how you felt I am truely sorry but in all my years of shipping wheels/parts to customers around the world i have never given a refund and i make that clear to my customers and for them to agree pre-payment. And yes to resolve this problem you would have to contact UPS to try and get a refund through them because it is their fault for undoing the banding!

Yet you shipped stretched tires over the border... They ALWAYS unpack them to check DOT tags. (often times reject them at shippers cost)

Im going through the same problem with ups. I took some wheels i was selling to the store and was charged for shipping, boxes, and packaging.

When my customer went to get them, they were not boxed and each wheel has scratches and nicks on them. I had insurance on them so under the pack and ship guarantee they are required to refund my money. I just had to open a claim and provide as many pictures and evidence as i could which wasnt hard because they were on my car and i had taken many pics to send to the customer.

Right now, i am waiting for the customer to meet up with a ups claims adjuster to inspect the damage before i can move forward.

Atleast you are helping the buyer. Which makes you a good seller. In this case the seller is pretty much Saying "I got your money so I don't care" which makes him a bad seller. :pat:

Man this sucks! IMO its just unfair to the buyer. I agree with others that the seller needs to cover for the repair or atleast cover a portion of the cost of repair. Coz if you ship it right you will have insurance on this. Just my .02 on this. Hope u guys can resolve this issue.

Did you make a claim with UPS at all? Shipping insurance exists for a reason.

I understand if you've already done this and they denied the claim due to bad packaging, though.

Damn thats some fucked up shit. Ive worked at UPS as a package handler, youd be surprised how your shit gets treated once your package gets picked up or put on the conveyor belt. At least if its ground, it will get raped at every stop, heavy and fragile items are no exception. I'll admit it, ive flown a few wine bottles inside a 53ft trailer!! OOps!!

haha. i used to work on the conveyor belts too. i wonder how many times i left a foot print on someone's heavy ass shipment cuz i didn't want to lift it to the front of the truck so i kicked it all the way. haha. oooops.

as for what happend here... i dunno how much ups would cover considering there wasn't any pictures immediately beforehand. if they covered everything, might as well take pic of new rims, get busted rims, ship, and get insurance for repairs. hmmmmmmmm

Although not responsible for what UPS did, I would try to at least work something out for the buyer....

That's true...but, I've shipped $1000 wheels way better than that. I've never shipped a set of wheels w/o being boxed either individually or 2 in a box with cardboard and foam.

WPG that's pretty weak, I really think you should be coming to some kinda deal to help your buyer out, the way your saying basically your SOL i have your $ looks shady, ESPECIALLY since you didnt take any pics convienetly of them packaged ready for shipping, I know anytime ive sold shit i usually take pics of whatever the item is right before it's shipped, that way you have proof, unfortunately in this situation you claim to not have done that, and that's just poor sales practice, MAN UP, help your buyer out, or i can't forsee future transactions happening with you on this forum or any other forum some of these members might be on.

Can they ban this guy for this? This is just a terrible seller practice. No assistance? Sorry buyer, I feel for you.

I think his reputation as a seller here will be an effective lesson.

The wheels were shipped, and insured (yes?), so the seller met the basic terms of the agreement. I don't think we can force him to help the buyer.

How he wants to be viewed as a seller, on VSC, can be put in his own hands.

ps: we do have a reputation score, and feedback system for cases just like this
