Belated intro from FL

Hello to all fellow VSC gentlemen.

Name: Julien
Area: West Central Florida(Woot)

The story....Sorry, tried to keep it short but had to make it make sense kay go:

I am a drift enthusiast at heart(No not the typical "drifter kid") , i was blessed to be brought into the JDM understanding/scene before drift tengoku, jdm option, and the "Grip video" stuff were popular. I have always fixed/bought/sold/traded S Chassis parts and cars as a hobby to fund my car addiction/hobby/ever lasting projects whether its daily/drift/VIP/etc...(Yes,Just like many other guys i'm the type that builds a car for the track, not their daily to take out and risk)

So I have wife, 2 kids, and up until about a little over a year ago only s buckets(For daily's/projects/whatever) and a wife/family car. I came to that point in life where it meant a lot to have a "nicer" daily that would both fit my professional career and be kept nice while tinkering with. Pulling up to help people with insurance/retirement in an s14 just didn't look or feel right. VIP fit the need/want..........................................................................................................................
...........I always was interested in the VIP culture/scene, it's importance of seriousness in values seemed very appealing as so many scenes/groups/platforms are flooded with garbage. Although I always just said "eh i'll get to that when i get to it". Well.........It was long overdue, but when i had the chance to trade one of the many s chassis' i had for a Y33(Which has always been the most appealing VIP chassis to me) I took it. It was an S14 that I basically had to revive in every way, frame work was needed, exhaust/welding, sourcing of parts interior exterior mechanically, etc etc...Had $1600 into it when all was said and done. Traded straight up!

My buddy i traded with went down to Miami to get it!

THE CAR

1998 Infiniti Q45
Miles: 93xxx(At time of trade) Now 98xxx

Wheels: CAME WITH the atrocious 20x8 F ET? 20x10 ET+35 R IIRC. I say atrocious b/c on the edge of the inner lip they say "Made In China" or just "China" but either way yeah...nuff said lol.........Only thing done to them is put a brand new tire on D/S Rear, thats how i know ^^^^^

Interior: Tan w/no floor mats, ripped armrests on doors(I know its common),ripped driver and pass seats. Came w/ NO RADIO....NOW have Pioneer DEH(Forget the rest) Double din touchscreen. Came with f'ed up shifter and radio bezel, climate control, and center console armrest. Between C-List and Egay all that is fresh for pretty cheap :)

Exterior: Orginal paint that is in pretty decent condition. The entire car needs to be sanded/primed/little dents filled/etc to be %100 but what 14 yr old car is %100, besides normal wear and tear its in decent shape. When i got it both tails were cracked, once again egay took care of that.

Engine: Runs perfect...When i got it it had a miss, typical orginal coil-on-plug boots were all cracked and stuff. Replaced plugs and boots on both banks. Came with no engine cover(WTF? i know right) scooped that up on the trip where i got the bezels and climate control stuff.

Random: When i got it P/S line had a bad leak(Dont they all almost) got that under control, and the fuel filter was the ORGINAL one...So took care of that

So its come a long way from when i got it, counting the car i traded for and the way it sits now i have $2K into it. Its getting brand new brakes all the way around, S14 Tein coils , Battle Version Tension rods, Tein Outer tie rods, and the rest of S14 front components that are oem but prestine from an ABS S14 from Japan). Just waiting for Camber plates to come it to do all at once.

Thanks for having me on the forum, this place really is unique and AWESOME.

If you read all or the majority of my rambling thanks for reading. Now for the pics!

^yea, when i did research i decided the same. Plus 9/10 times S-Chassis stuff is cheaper and easier to find anyways.

Added a pic up top of the interior, thought i orginally posted it but guess it got skipped.

Dont mind my Nismo floormats(Got them for free w/the Pioneer so they protect the floor, better than nothing till i get oem)

The wheel has pretty bad wear too, haven't decided on whether to change it out for an AE or J30 wheel, or to put my Nardi woodgrain in and make a custom bracket to retain the Cruise control button.
