Back in the Toyota Game. My new SC300 5 speed.

I flew out to N.C. to pick this up. Drove it 8 hours back home last saturday.

For 7 hours today, I finished 3 coats of wax (cleaner, polish, final coat) and cleaned the interior a little. The car was immaculate to begin with though.

Its a 1995 SC300 5 speed with 158K miles.

Its hard enough to find a good condition 5 speed, let alone a fire red one with full black interior. This is the cream of the crop SC's. Pretty much a needle in a haystack to find. There is virtually no dings or dents in the whole car.

I have been looking for one exactly like this for over 2 years now. I wanted one when I had the Supra! I guess patience pays off. This one is truely a keeper!

No, LOL.

Though my brother has a red 300zx and my dad has another Porsche, a 997 Targa 4s in silver and a 350z roadster in silver.....and he has a yellow Nissan supercharged pickup....and the white QX56.....

We have 8 cars for just 4 of us....and a two car garage. LOL. We rent out garages at the local gated storage facility.;)
He is thinking abot building a really nice garage where the driveway already is. Would have 2 storage lifts and working space. Since my dad and my brother and me bond when we are working on cars. LMAO

So the family is semi-VIP....

And yes, I live at home. Same with my brother. Its not everyday when you have a state college in your home town and work is 5 minutes away.

Selling my 4runner and paying it off first.

Of course:
TSX HID headlamps
Suspension
Wheels
Body (Vertex sides and rear but not sure on front end)
1jz-1.5jz-2jz conversion.

Looks good man for more power options check out www.clubna-t.com

If you want to do some HID conversion hit up your local junkyard for 2000 model SC400 HIDs they were originally designed for HIDs but unfortunately Lexus canned the HIDs in the UZ and JZ chassis and decided on halogen. I have used the 2000 year model Headlights and the cut off is ridiculously perfect. There is a whole thread on Clublexus. I also delined mine completely and also delined the High beams at the same time I decided to paint the housings a high gloss black color with a flat clear and some glow in the dark clear from duplicolor. When you shut off the headlights it has this little glow left over. Kinda nice and looks different.

P.S. Get a Nextgear MFBFS Shift Knob and send your shifter to Bamburi Motorsports they will modify it for 100 bucks to be a short throw and sit a bit lower so its not too high.

I am already on club NA-T under the same screename. I am already buying tid bits to do a complete NA-T swap. Including going distributorless ignition.

I'm making a short throw shifter fit. I actually like a taller shifter (stock height or maybe even 1" higher). I retrofitted an IS300 B&M into my old supra, and I have read the MK4 N/A 5 speed short shifters fit perfect in mine since its a 92-95 SC300. The ones after that changed the shifter linkage type. Per the service manual and visual inspection it seems to be correct that the 92-95's shared the same shifter assymbly.

Second I am doing the TSX hid retrofit. Still deciding on the ballasts. My brother has some of the brand new Phillips thin ballasts on his 300zx with E46 projectors. Looks perfect. But I dont cheap out on things.

I have learned in the past you get what you pay for. Especially in the lighting catagory.

How did you "deline" your plastic lenses though? Is it even worth it? Post some pics if you can.

delining them, you sand down the lines starting with ~600 grit sand paper, going all the way up to 1500/2000 grit. then use some plastic scratch remover, and then finish up with a plastic polish.

I know HOW to "deline" them. Thats easy to figure out (the sanding and buffing of the plastic.).

But some people only deline the area around the projector or the whole unit itself.

I am really not interested in it anyways. I would only do it if I had another set of headlamps.

I like this one with the RB26 and cleared headlamps (link at bottom):

Simann,

Congrats on the find. shes a real looker.

I hate to ask, but how much did it cost you? I only ask because I'm In the market for an SC300 myself and I'm somewhat comparing numbers.
