Y33 rear suspension arms...
Looking to buy rear arms for my Y33. Mainly RUCA and Toe. What are your guys thoughts on these. Are you ok with megan/isis/godspeed arms? OR is it worth it to spend the extra money for PBM/SPL/Cusco..
I know 240 guys clown on cheap stuff but just wondering what everyone here uses and their experiance.
Thanks.

i have peak performance, but if i had to do it all over again i'd do battle version or SPL. battle version and peak performance are nice because they're not too far from me -- peak even helped me replace a pillow ball when i got weird clunking noises. i found afterwards it was something else haha

s14 megan arms are pretty quality pieces....ull need some washers for the toe arms if you get the s13 arms (which isnt a big deal)

I don't remember using any washer for my toe arms but then again I used S14 on my Y33.

I'm running SPL RUCA, rear toe and traction on my G50. Arms are top notch and beefy. I'm running -10 camber in rears for about a year now and i just got another alignment couple days ago and everything is still in spec.

If the megans do the job seems like a better choice and you can buy RUCA, toe, and rear traction for around 350. PBM for the 3 arms looks like 650+shipping. And the RUCA is out of stock :/ SPL is good shit, but too much. I only drive this car a few hundred miles a month
Only thing im worried on the megans, is how good is the heim joint and overall strength since these cars weigh a lot more than a S-chassis. Dont want a weld or joint to fail during a hard turn.

i rock godspeed, new stuff is good shit comparable to megan and look better too. nice deep red and a slight gold to the hardware.

good to know. I'm going to check there stuff out more. I was thinking Godspeed and Megan about same quality.

instead of going at a particular brand i'll just tell you what components to look for. quality components (sphericals), strong tubing, and good welds. in the end these are just bars with holes on the end. anything, barring cattastrophic failure, will work. the question is how well will it work and for how long.
my recommendation for the enthusiast on a budget is battle version. they have a good balance of the 3 ingredients at a great price point.

since we're on the subject, is anyone running s14 front LCAs on their stock non-s-chassis swapped y33 to gain more camber?

its the other way around, q arms are longer than 240 if im not mistaken so if you rock q lcas with the 240 swap you get more track but not necessarily camber.

someone told me they were the same length so if I modded the shank it could be adjusted outwards to add camber.
So what if I cut and welded a heim joint to the stock LCA could I add a few degrees camber that way without extending tie rods and tension rods?

i did that, but you have a finite amount of adjustment before you need to extend your tie rods. i already had adjustable tension rods
