Wheel and Tire Dia questions

Sounds dumb, but asking this any way cause I swear my mind is playing tricks on me. So question 1 is stretched tire, does it increase overall tire diameter or lower it? I have seen some where I swear it raised it. 

Also, if this is the case. I am looking for a good calculation that people have on here from experience, not some online tire calculator due to variations that are not calculated

I am looking for anyone who has a 20x10.5 or 11. with a 235 35, or a 235 30 and 245 in same height.

I ask cause I have not found anyone local to test fit, and around here I am the only vip car in my entire county. And we are a giant area. But I am looking to get measurements so I can finally weld and complete my fender radius. Cause I am super on the fence about 20in rebarrels for my wheels and running into clearance issues with bumper tabs and sides of the fender arch in rear quarter. My wheel is already pushed back I think and need to bring it forward more

overall diameter remains the same due to the fact that the shape of the sidewall changes, but does not affect height or diameter.

I'm currently running a 255/30 Hankoook Vuntus V12 on a 11" and I think its the perfect amount of stretch. My friend is using a 245/30 Achilles ATR on a 11" and I swear it looks like its holding on for dear life and I would say it looks borderline dangerous. I actually work in a tire shop and I've pretty much seen it all. There is no chance in hell a 235/30 would fit 11" and 235/35 would still be pretty sketchy in my book. the overall diameter in a stretch should remain the same however the shoulders of the tire will be smaller in overall diameter.

The reason we stretch tires is to clear fender and lower overall height... i hope this clears it a bit..

you should mount tires on wheels and than do the fender work around the wheel

Two things, one I know.

Second I ask cause I am not going to spend money on a step lip rebarrel and not be the way i want it. 

I want the size of the wheel and tire to raise the car, so i can lower it back down to the height it is already at.

So you don't know yet if you're going with 10.5" or 11"? Is this for the front or rear?

If you wanna raise the height than I recommend getting a slightly larger OD.

If you go 10.5 I recommend 235/35 and if you go 11" I recommend 245/35
