KYB GR-2 or KONI RED for daily driver??

So i'm thinking of new shocks for my daily ride & i want it to be somewhat low, which brand would bring me a more comfortable ride? Any opinion would help! I know that koni is a little more expensive, but is it worth paying more or would I just be paying for the name? :yahoo_39:

wiht the availability of quality coilovers at an affordable price point these days i don't see anny reason to buy springs/shocks. back in the day i liked the gr-2 cause they were cheap and slightly uprated. i don't see much benefit in the koni reds since they are not adjustable. koni yellows, on the other hand, are very good dampers.

your avatar pic, is that an sc300/sc400? if so, kyb's and tokico's are popular oem replacements... the price is right and rides similar to oem shocks/struts. if youre lookin to go low, theres always megan coilovers for just a few hundred more

GR-2 are going to be basically a stock replacement, I wouldn't try to go too low on them.

For the price of Koni/KYB combo (decent combo, very proven) you could get Megan EZ for slightly more.

the gr-2 is more than a stock replacment. it is valved sligthly more aggressive (5% iirc), perfect for most drop springs.

I'd go koni
The reds are Internally adjustable
I have had both on my 93 accord wagon
Put over 100k on them

Coils are better tho....

it's actually an acura legend, which is why suspension is limited for my kind of car. i would go megans but they don't make any for my car, & i plan to go on a 1 1/2 to 2 inch drop. are kyb's reliable for this?

how would a 1 1/2 to 2 inch drop be, would they blow soon? & how would the comfort be? i'm on ground control coilovers. i would but they don't make megans for my car
