Thinking about a winter project - M owners your thoughts plz

have an '03 M45, i'm torn between keeping the 4.5L tearing - it down and adding twin turbo, or swappping to an RB26.
Anyone have any thoughts?

Either way that sounds like an insane projects...

No one I know of makes a blower for the Y34 4.5.  I know Impul makes a full engine...but expensive as all getout.  Before I sold my M45, I was going to do a RB26DETT swap.

id do twin turbo if i was going for a high hp build. but thats pointless with a vip styled car lol. a blower will add plenty of power, sound like a jet :) and still allow you to run a fmic :):):)

i remember some shop making up a vortech kit for a fx45, if that would work i would imagine little modifications needed to make it work on the m45.....would have to search more online

I'm sure there are kits for the VK56 (Titan motor), so wonder how hard it would be to make that fit.

swapping in the vk56 will be difficult.

RB30/26 swap would be awesome

It came with a 25 in japan in certain trim. It can bolt in.

Cosworth did have a eaton style charger for the 45

I'm sure there are offers for the VK56 (Titan motor), so wonder how challenging it would be to make that fit.
