Brabus is a Mercedes tuner.
...That is used by many of the vip tuners in Japan on their vip platforms.
But its all in how you execute it. Brabus on a merc just looks euro style. Brabus on a Lex with mild lowering and camber corrected just looks, well it looks stock
But brabus wheels on a Q45, slammed with camber and fat kit looks very contemporary vip style

does that mean it shouldn't belong on a "VIP platform" car?

Nah, I don't think it means that at all. Brabus has some really classy wheels, and on the right car it can look amazing. The car El posted is a great example

to me German tuners like Carlsson, Brabus, Alpina, also Kleeman, AMG, Koenig special etc. Formed the visual impetus for the Japanese originators of VIP style. Therefore many of these brands are considered very prestigious in the Vip tuning world. For a number of reasons, exclusivity and price and the fact that the wheels designs of these noted tuners are the templates on which the majority of VIP style wheels designs stem from. So yes they are VIP if used correctly, so IMO they should be considered VIP brands.
