CZ Wheel's '03 SD GS300 Build Thread

Hi guys,

My names Easton.. This was my previous car, my IS300, it got totaled about 3 weeks ago, and was about to have a new sick setup of Ordens on it that I had built. Well that didn't get to happen, but here is how some of you may remember it:

I'm hopping on a flight to ATL tomorrow, to go pick up my "new" 2003 GS300 which will also be used as a company car and will drive it back to New Orleans.

It's Black, with Saddle interior, 110k on the ODO

Stance/Touge Factory will be one of the sponsors on the GS, and coilovers have already been ordered, I believe we'll be going with 15kg/12kg spring rates.

Wheel choice is between a few things. As good as they look, I'm trying to stay away from Ordens and the usual wheels seen on GS's, even though I know it'll be hard to stand out. Thinking about going with step lip 19" Garson Ryugi's or step lip 19" NKB Cups.

As for paint, I'll probably keep it black for the next year or so, and change things up next season or summer.

I'll be updating this thread pretty regularly as I get the car and so on, thanks for following.

*UPDATE*

well, I picked some wheels up today, i'm trying to decide if I want to keep them or not.

They'll be here in about two weeks, their Veilside Andrew Racing V, they really need refinishing and centercaps, but they'll of course get torn apart and worked on once they get here.

Anyone think i'll have fitment trouble at all?

What y'all think?!

*Update*

well, my wheels came in, got a good offer on them, trying to think if I should sell or hold on to them hmmmm

Forum image

Yes, I had to buy the stupid rare centercaps seperately, thinking either 24k gold dipped or chrome dipped, still undecided.

Forum image

Thought i'd have to be refinishing the faces, got some chrome polish for the faces, redid the lips, and voila!

Test fitted on my friends GS that I had built some LXZ's for! (Rim on ground, he's running about -3 to -4 camber, he isn't sure)

We will be able to offer this within the next month or two at most, maybe sooner.

It would, the color would've matched the interior, but Ordens on a GS..beautiful, but overplayed to death

Veilsides were let go, recently picked up some SSR Agle strusse and will soon be measuring them out to fit the car perfectly.

I was given some new Megan EZ Streets I'll probably be selling for some custom build suspension (Probably go with BC). I Installed my Pioneer AVPH doubledin, got 20% tint and 5% on back window, Viper 5904 LED screen , and lowered the car on the coilovers.

Forum image
About a week ago somebody backed into my front fender, so that'll be the next thing to get fixed then will finally be able to get my bumper painted and wheels on.

The wheels will be around 19x9-9.5 19x10-10.5 single digit offsets, step lipped

The veilsides are gone, the SSR's will be 19"

Stance/Tougefactory were too slow on the responses and everything. Think I may either A. be going air, or B. doing something custom from BC.

Lol, it was put on hold for a few months. Had to put business and family first, building up CZ and getting into a house over the next 1-2 months. Now that I've just about gotten to where I want to be, I'll start to work on the car!

Hi vincent!

Yes sir!~

UPDATES:

Intake filter box somehow busted open, car has been down for about a week because air just freely flows out of it instead of through the motor. Manufacture wants $400 for the part, will probably just replace with cheap aftermarket.

The wheels got in today -- will start up on the rebuild and have it done within the next few weeks. Specs looking to be custom step lipped 19x9.5 +18 19x10.5 +12 is what I measured out to build today. Specs aren't set in stone, but that's what I'm leaning towards. The chrome on the faces is pretty beat up so we'll be stripping it and it's still up in the air on what finish to go with.

I finally was able to get my Junction produce bumper, and have also found a 6pc JP Sideskirt set that we may have cut in half and sent over. I wasn't ever planning to run JP, just had been lucky to find the good deals on it that I got. Will be running something a bit more aggressive in the far future since I can nearly complete what I want of the JP kit.

Once the wheels are done, the car will be going in to get some things touched up and sprayed. Prior to lowering the car someone backed into my passenger fender and it seems to be replaced. So that will be taken care of, as well as the kit, and minor fender work to fit wheels.

Wheels will be done next week.

Looking like I'll have to have the JP Sides and door panels shipped via sea freight, so I'll forget about them and they'll arrive...one day. At least they're already painted my color and all though.

I am waiting for my new intake part to come in so I can start driving the car comfortably again. I've been needing to get this JP bumper to the shop to get repaired and painted.

I've been on the edge of purchasing some new BC coils with 18/16 spring rates and the low kit, but am still very back and forth about air or being static since the bottom of this car seems to hang a bit lower than the IS.

All in all - things will start happening next week. I will provide pictures :)

man it's not that at all, the IS just used to drag the ground. There's a few certain parts that have been just slamming the ground (that I don't feel to safe with) and I'm not even as low as I plan to be yet.

I'm getting rid of these stupid coils, and upgrading to some BC's, I think I'll be going for 18kg/16kg spring rates. As soon as I get my car running okay again, that'll be the next order.

I'm moving into my first house within the next month or so, pending inspecting, so I will be very busy. Trying to get the car looking pretty good by that time.

Mostly exhaust piping. That's what always scraped when I was static. And piping is what sat on the ground when I went on air. Haha. But can't wait to see what you do to this!

GL / congrats with the new house!

Thanks, if everything keeps going as is I should be signing papers in 2-4 weeks.

Here's a shot of the front wheels:

Machined centers, silver windows, polished step lips 19x3.5" in the front 19x9.5 +16

I think I may do the centercaps red, the hardware is newly polished.

Shot of how the rear will be looking

Measure out to be 19x9.5 +16 and 19x10.5 +6

All new forged inner barrels and outer lips, diamond cut (Machined) faces with silver windows. I'm finishing up on polishing the bolts and will have these babies together within the next week or two since we have a huge shipment coming in within the next few days. I'm taking my time because I know once their all together, I'll want to get them on immediately.

Front bumper swag!

Sides and door panels are onthe way from Japan, should be here in 2-3 weeks. Unfortunately, this house is keeping me from getting my new passenger side fender and my kit sprayed. So i'm going to hold off a minute to install the front. The sides and door panels are already painted.

Ordered 215/35 Nankang for front and 245/35 Achilles for rear, hopefully will be doing a little fenderwork this week and maybe even get the wheels installed. Have been working on the centercaps, sanded them down, sprayed them with 4 coats of firetruck red with 4 coats of clear. Wet sanding them this evening and buffing/polishing tomorrow. Oh and got my JP curtains in too!

The car should be really transforming over the coming months :D

Have been working on shit all day long...

Made the fronts to x10 +22, rears are still 10.5 +6

Was having trouble with some of the used 225/35's we were using, stepped up to 235/35 for front, rear I am running 245/35.

It's sitting a little more flush than I intended for, going to try to pull the fenders a little more and maybe put the rear a little lower if I can.

Yes they're shitty compared to anything I've ever ridden on. I flared the rears out probably about 12-15mm's. Tucking right about the full tire in the rear, and have more room to go in the front (probably this week). I was wanting to tuck the rim in the rear, but oh well, maybe next setup.

That's all i've heard lately.

Heres updated pictures, lowered the rear a little more, flared rears as much as I could without damaging the quarters, centercaps, few interior things. Car does need a good buffing, possible respray due in the future as well.

JP Curtains F & R
JP Neck pads
JP Ass pillows F & R

Along with close up shots of the wheels

Don't mind my photography skills, didn't have a tripod on me at the time. :P

Been busy lately, hopefully putting the front end for paint soon!

The JP sides and door panels are beautiful and already painted, haven't gotten the time to install them yet.

Wheels have been for sale just to test waters, really wanting some professors.

Will update with pictures after paint in the next few weeks :D

I like the interior, I always wanted something like that in my GS400 but we never get anything else other than black or grey in Canada, so I settled for black.

Quick q, do you happen to know if those wheels share same barrel bolt pattern as riverside? I have a set of Riverside wheels and I've been looking for replacement barrels but can't seem to find any.

Thanks for the good words bro. Not the same bolt pattern, however I could get you something made if needed. Just drop an email to czwheels@gmail.com as I'm not on here to much to answer messages.

However, the cars been riding quite nicely the past few months. I shaved part of the quarters recently to put rubbing to a zero. The wheels have been for sale, but I'm honestly in no rush to sell them. They now fit the car great and look beautiful. The only downer is i'd like to be a bit lower. The car is going in for paint next week.

- New OEM front fenders L&R
-Broken JP bumper getting repaired and sprayed to match the car
-JP Sideskirts getting sprayed and installed on the car
-JP Door panels getting installed on the car

Once I get it out of paint, I'll finally start being able to worry about what headlights & taillights i'll be going with as well as finishing up the interior.
