INNER FENDER Mod Thread and Discussion..
After tackling my rears i got to thinking it would be nice to have a collective thread with the different mods guys have done to the inner fenders to fit any number of wheel and tire combos.
So I'll Start with my rear:

these are really old, never tried again since.
using pie cuts for tire clearance on radius.
using tub for front rail notch.

Real work going on here. Always wondered what a modified wheelhouse it looked like from underneath. Dont have the balls or skill to tackle a job like this. Props to both of you.
jzz30tt, did you cut out the existing portion of the top part of the wheelhouse and then re-weld it higher up, or just cut it out trash it and then form your own panel to fit the new space?

I cut the OEM metal wheel well out and junked it, I used a modified trailer fender for the the new piece and formed the shock tower and remaining oem wheel weel to fit.

what you should do after is get some good marine grade exterior carpet, and glue that stuff in the rear wheel well.

I'll be welding it all up this weekend hopefully, then grinding it smooth, then 3M seam sealer, then under coating. Should be overkill as well...haha

I was just thinking it looks like a grenade went off in the wheelhouse. Gotta get worse before it gets better with this type of work I guess.What kind of tool are you going to use to get up in there to grind the welds down?
