Ebony And Ivory

hey everyone ive been lookin around the site for a while im new to the vip world and the world of import vehicles all together, but i had a q45 basically fall into my lap and i found yalls site and figured i like the look of the cars and instead of flipping i should build one so heres my attempt. im not done yet so this is gonna be more of a build thread. i started with a white pearl 1998 q45 that was hit in the front that i got for free. i started lookin around for parts and realized how expensive they were, so i found a 97 black q45t for $1000. so far ive only been able to cut out the core and partially disassemble the black one. hopefully the project will turn out right i am on a budget which sucks, but everybodys got their limits. any pointers or advise is always appreciated.

Front end damage doesn't seem too bad, you def got all the spares you need tho. Take your time and do it right, goin to look good. Later.

i would use the black one, and just use the white one for parts.

What's wrong with the black one? Why don't you just sell the white one and use that money to build the black one :giggity:

the black one has something wrong with the motor, interior is trashed, water in the trunk, electrical problems, and it has suspension problems. from what i can see this was someone elses project at one time.

If its black on black interior. I would use the white. Swap the interiors. Put the hood and fenders on the white one. Suspension needs to be replaced anyway.

That was my hopes, but the interior is real bad on the black one

if you have a spare, intact, passenger's side ac e-fan, i would like to cop :P

Some of the best builds out are budget builds man! No worries, itll turn out great

Unicorn... 


White on Black has been an all time favorite, but it seems nearly impossible to find OEM.

Are you serious, that's so comical. lol! 

I love how this build is taking form, I'll keep an eye out for this one for sure. Don't sweat your budget, it will spawn some get creativity. good luck and welcome!

finally got the car home last tuesday. Its not finished but atleast i can drive it and be sure nothing mechanical is wrong with it, and make sure i like the car. ive decided if i keep it, the car will be getting a custom pearl paint kjob that i mixed up. well heres what ive done so far and where im at now.

Looks good. It is definitely a keeper. I miss mine to this day. especially the interior.

She was looking rough as hell there at first. Looks like things are coming together. Why did you paint the core-support black and not white?

Yea im just glad its finally drivable. I had to coat some rust and the repair on the passinger side apron. I may repaint it white when i get ready to repaint the whole car
