big lip fitment question.

So my question is that ive seen some of you guys with big lips in the rear like 5in or so rolling pretty damn low and i dont see too much camber or too much of a fender mod. [/FONT]

It's all in the wheel offsets buddy. Not lip size

yup

also by measuring brake clearance you can get a thinner back pad on the wheels and therefore run that more more of an offset.  could get anywhere from 5-10 extra mm from the back pad reduction.

in my opinion some people have such great fender work done that it still flows like stock.  i wish i knew a place in my area that could do this for only an arm and not an arm and a leg  ;)

i understand the tire size and fender work completely but on a 3-piece wheel a 5in lip is a in lip from the face.  i understand the offset as well but regardless having a 5in lip, the face, then like a 5.5-6.5 barrel you still have that lip to fit, right? 

unless im missing something, and i know the disc size helps as well, i was just wondering if maybe there was something i didnt know about fitting some wide wheels. without major fender work and or excessive camber.

well this is what im dealing with, im still deciding on tire size.  more than likely im gonna camber it to flush it out as much.

I'd camber it a little 
Get some STUDIO/Battle version camber/toe arms

yeah its not much so ill probably just camber it, im not sure on the offset, but it comes out to around 20x13 from edge to edge. ill probably go with the battle version camber/toe arms.

that's really close...just a little camber, good stretch and you're set.

i know you measure the wheel from bead to bead, i built the wheels, but it was just easier for me to say edge to edge and i know the majority people on here will figure out the rest. 

speed- its not that far off and i was thinking the same, i was just wondering if there were any other tips out there that i may not know to make this fitment a bit easier. i really dont want to roll the rear at all.

will they fit is the same as the 1010tire offset calculator but i prefer the 1010tire one.  used to be that 'rim tuck' was an awesome reference for seeing different sizes on your own platform but it doesn't seem like anyone is keeping it current these days.

i havent tried that 1010tire one butyeah i used to look at rimtuck it was good cause you can actually see the tire stretch and whatever, but theres not much for the size of rim im gonna run. but its still a decent site.
