Coilover Install Question

What is the circled item on the spindle and how do you remove it?

abs sensor
there is probably a 10mm or 12mm nut on it...I forget

Yeah i removed it but does it just pull out or what, i spent like 30 min looking at every angle and trying to figure out how to remove it! XD I jist hope i didnt damage it! lol

Yep abs sensor, one bolt. Be careful taking it out, mine was kind of brittle. Use some wd40 and give it a little tap on the other side.

mine came out with no wd-40 and not tap just slipped right out.

Dang, sounds like you got pretty lucky then bc mine isnt slipping out, thats for sure! lol

it slips out from the back... from the back side try turning it to break it loose and it should slide out.

they come out with varying degrees of ease depending on corrosion/grime. a small flathead on the backside to scrape/pry works also. just be careful, sometimes they come off in pieces. lol.

I destroyed my driver side sensor just being impatient, the passenger side came out no problem... a new one costs ALOT though

Sorry for another question but ive hamered and pryed many times to try and get the lower control arm and tie rod disconnected from the spindle and they wont come out! Any tips or tricks to get these bad boys out?

for the tie rod end you need to pry on it while hitting the spindle, not the tie rod end itself.  same thing with the lower control arm. But, there may be a snap ring on the LCA one, im not sure.

time and time again this is what I use for almost all my ball joint seperating.   MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH easier.   To make things easier use it on the steering tie rod so the suspension can be turned to fit the seperator on the LCA ball joint.  Makes life 100X easier.   I really don't get why some people end up buying the fork style seperator which destroys the rubber boot...this tool is I'm telling you a LIFE saver.

wrd. i tried the pickle fork method once. never again.

if your abs sensor is locked up there's a good chance the lbj/rod end are seized up too.sometimes all you can do is wang on it and replace if you damage. hammer/air hammmer on top of the shank usually works.

Anybody know of an ABS sensor out of different cars that fit the Y33 knuckle? S14 or any Nissan share that ABS sensor?

seems to be unqiue, although that may just be due to harness/connector.
