"VIP inspired" mazda rx8

I know this topic has been covered, but my approach is a little bit different than the other one and I would like some input from the VIP community. As covered in the previous thread, it has been established that the RX-8 is not a good platform to build a VIP car around, as it is obviously a sports car. It was also discussed that the term "VIP" is not solely determined by the fitment of the car, but the overall style of the car, ie. interior, trunk, sound, etc.

So my approach on this "VIP inspired" RX-8 is to have a sporty looking, flushed out exterior, but try and tie that "VIP" theme into the sporty interior. For example, woodgrain themed interior with a nice head unit, steering wheel, and a table with leather wrapped bucket seats??? I haven't started my interior yet, but I'm planning on doing so relatively soon, so I'm looking for some ideas.

I'm also going to be working on my wheel fitment a little more hopefully mid next year. plan on getting new wheels in 19's and close up the wheel gap and then pick up a relatively aggressive kit. I'm also going to be playing with a bunch of different lighting ideas over winter break. So any ideas, thoughts, input would be much appreciated :D Thanks in advance!

i dig the wheels man. and this is certainly a dope RX-8. but i really wouldent put a vip tabel in it. IMO

hahah thanks guys :D PLANNING on getting some weds this coming summer. as for the table, i wana make it and see what it looks like first. it wouldn't cost much anyways and i have too much time on my hands as well :P i'll post a picture and see what y'all think after i finish it and if it's a no go, i could sell it to a buddy. but do you guys think that it's possible to bring the "VIP" look to the interior of this car?? i plan on wiring some puddle lights under the mirrors to turn on with the door lights and putting some leds in the cup holder to turn on with the headlights. i'll also be working on my full woodgrain trunk setup over break. i'll keep this thread updated to see if i could change some minds on the idea of a "VIP inspired" rx8 hahah

@dlum125 i have an rx8 too. i thinkin a vip rx8 would be pretty unique. I kind of like the idea of having a vip tray, window curtains, and rear seat neck pads.

@ybots13: hahah yeah it's just an idea though. i wouldn't do the curtains though cause the windows are kind of shaped a little funky. they're kinda too steep or something so they wouldn't look very good. the neck pads would be cool, but they wouldn't fit in the front because of the weird seat shape and no adjustable head rest. but you're welcome to steal my ideas if you like lool. not sure how much of it i'll actually come through with :P

here's an update. i got my LEDs in my cup holders. i'm pretty happy with the outcome.

@dlum125 yeah im not totally sure about vip. Just thinking of my options. I know are windows are shaped weird and we cant run neck pads on the front seats. I'm thinking a vip tray, neck pads on the rear seats, small curtains on the suicide door windows and maybe some type of bosozoku style exhaust tip.

hmmm that's definitely an interesting approach. i'd like to see how that would come out. i'm taking it a little differently as i'm not going full out VIP look because i think that's impossible with this car hahah. i'm just trying to find a balance between the two :P

anyways, here's another update. i got my mirror puddle lights in today :D i'm pretty happy how they came out
