HIN Chicago

So HIN saturday, it seems a VIP xB has some mixed reactions in Chicago. Most liked it, some did not. No awards for me. That's okay, I didn't expect any. The photographers liked it. One guy I spoke with and he knew about the scene. Said the car reminded him of the Junction Produce line. He was diggin it. Told his photo man to get some rounds on the car. Don't know if he made it back or not. It got crazy since I was next to the stage. I had at least four guys ask if I It was the Fabulous kit. Thanks to everyone for building so many knockoffs of that kit. Big bumpered kits automatically become Fab kits I guess. Funny since I had two W-Blood stickers and the front tag. The judge liked the car too. I want to run more negative camber on the back and get my camber plates done on the front now. It's col to get invited to a couple other local shows during HIN. One I can't make and one I will try to get there. I always appreciate that. This is new to me. And fun. Oh yeah, I had the only xB with deep dish rims except for a guy with a Fab front bumper and 15" Drag retro wheels. But that was it. Couple JP kits, a Bomex kit and an EVO kit. One Accord wagon and a handful of nicely done GS's. One 1st gen was boosted and another 2nd gen was white with some sort of bodykit and the whaletail. Cool. Some guy asked me where I was from, I guess expecting anwhere other than Chicago with an xB like mine. He was surprised.

the rear maybe confused with Fabulous but the front is definitely different. 

I feel HIN or Vision entertainment needs to stimulate the Wagon look a bit with wagon class. that may get the scene moving again. It seems a bit stagnant.

Im gonna just say it I think you got robbed you definitely should have got something. :tickedoff: Any pics at all especially of the cars that supposedly beat you.

The Vision shows are pretty much to the rule books. You should check out the SCCA rules on how to score the highest points in each thing. You probably scored high on exterior but as far as say Custom Audio, Big brakes, interior, Engine, and so forth.... I never placed at a HIN event with my xA which was featured in Importuner and was nominated to be one of the 50 greatest rides and yet i still cant get a trophy at HIN because i lack a few things such as Turbo/Supercharger, Brake upgrade, Paint, and so on. So if you really want to win one i say follow their rule book as for me i just put together my car for me.
I hope that helps you out in how u were judged on your car. It isnt that they didnt like it its just how the point system is set up. I dont have any ties with Visoin or HIN i just found out the hard way also because this is how they explaned it to me.

Thanks, I did not expect to win anything. I really wanted to get the look and scene jump started in Chicago. I originally had no intention to go, but was invited anyway.
