On the road from Fl!

Hey guys, I joined months ago and have been lurking, learning more details about the style that I'm trying to get into. As of right now I'm in a 2007 Mazda3 but should be pulling the trigger on a 98-2000 Lexus LS400 any week now.

I've checked two out already and one of them really caught my eye, wanted to see what you guys thought of the deal!

It's a 98 LS400, with, wait for it, 34,000 miles!!!!! I thought it was too good to be true but really only got better.. It's Diamond White Pearl and in such amazing condition, it was clearly garage kept (Door Moldings super black when even the ones on my 2007 are faded!) It's clean all around the only visible flaws are on the rear bumper, the lining is peeling off from the side (is that common?) and a scuff on the rear bumper as well. The interior is literally flawless, has OEM navi and even a fucking car phone!

The carfax on the car shows its a one owner, accident free, and the dealer selling it was the original dealer they bought it from and maintained it at, it was maintained really well, at least once every three years, which tells me it didn't just sit for a while.

As you guys can tell I've sort of fell in love lol
Just wanted to say hi and if you guys have anything to say about the car I'd enjoy the feedback. :)

This is my old car btw;

They're asking 12,995, but I'll be shooting for the highest of 10 + taxes/fees.

And thanks Flush Y33, it had a nice run imo. :)

Love the low mileage but not the price...these engines will last forever and there bulletproof anyways and Lexus does a better job then Infiniti holding there resale value
That's ls430 money but yea if the Mazda is any implication on what's to come it'll look sick when completed!

@13k you should be able to buy a car with suspension already done on here, pancakes car (granted its a y33) but a color change and some repair and you will be set.

Imho, 13k is high because of the year not the mileage

The highest I'd be willing to pay for it would be 10k plus taxes/fees, going to start at 10 out the door, then 9500 with taxes/fees, then if all else fails 10k plus the taxes and fees, when I first talked to the guy he asked what my budget was and when I said 10 he said with taxes and fees, so ill use that to make sure I get that at the very least.

And I know I can afford a 430 but I like the styling of the 98-2000 400 better, idk why but I'm just more attracted to it. :) there's one with 57k around for 8,900 and I can get it for 7 probably but it's in worse condition all around l, this one is pretty mint. I know all the maintenance has been done and the car is completely unmolested, so I figure I'd enjoy this starting point much better

Well my car is worth a lot less then I thought according to dealerships so now it's got to sell privately before I can get in one, oh well!

Hey guys, a update on my journey, I might buy a 99 LS Friday. C:

It has 92,000 miles, it's black, crack-free tan interior, and the nakamichi sound system. Forum image

The paint is really nice on it, it's a two owner car, and it's been in a minor/moderate rear end collision according to Carfax, and turning on the car I can tell they've yet to change the timing belt. (Not loud but definitely hear some sort of belt)

It's at a mom and pop dealer and they're asking 8900, basically going to offer 7 out the door due to the timing belt and accident. Wish me luck guys c:

Also, anybody know of somewhere to get an OEM car cover and an OEM bra, want to keep the paint as nice as it is now.
