Hey guys. I've been pretty familiar with the VIP scene for a while now.
Now, before reading on and seeing the title of this thread, you probably would be thinking...HKS, VIP, gtfo. :pat:
Although my car isn't completely VIP but I would consider it to be still somewhat VIP inspired.
A few pictures of how the car currently looks like:

Pretty damn nice...I still think its more sport than VIP.
Is that an HKS bumper or just a sticker on the rear? Can't say I've seen that kit on another IS before.

Not bad not bad... More on the sport side but still a very well done car.
+1 about the sticker on the bumper question

it's not a sticker. It's an authentic HKS D1 Aero Kit, 1 out of 4 in the U.S.

Welcome!
The thread title is a little misleading though, I also expected seeing an IS that was loaded with HKS parts from the chassis to the engine. But clean ride nonethless, now you just need to slam that shit boi

This is sorta of a late update. But the HRE's are now off my car, and I got new wheels!
Work VS-TX
These wheels are hands down my favorite wheels from Work.
A little bit of information on them:
- They're super rare
- They're discontinued
- Work Wheels only made about 5000 sets of them, each individual wheel has its own serial number engraved to the side next to the bolts.
- The red center caps ones are more rare.
- These are also hi-disk in the front (will clear bbk which I'm getting in the near future), lo-disk in the rear (maximum lip)
- Work does not make these wheels in steplip. I had them custom made.
Specs are 19x9 +20 (after 3mm spacer), and 19x10 +33

Sorry for not updating. But the car looked like this after putting on the Work VS-TX:

via
The Chronicles© - No Equal Since 2008 | www.stickydiljoe.com | A Honda Dedicated Blog/E'Publication
Bought new lugs nuts.
Had to special order these straight from Japan from Kyoei (Kics), because all the retailers in the U.S. would always have these on backorder.
Project Kics REVO R40 (Black Chrome), there's also a Neochrome version of these lugs, but I'm not a big fan of Neochrome so I stuck with these black chrome ones.
Also bought these separate Red Replacement Caps so I can change the end cap from Black to Red.
This is how they should look like after installed: (picture shown is on a different wheel and car)
Lugs arrived.

An update on the air suspension. Most parts has already arrived after a lot of waiting time of sourcing different items from different sources.
Air Force Suspension
Pressure Sensors
Dual Air Zenith OB2 Compressors
Management is also in, no pictures at this moment. The rest are being on hold from UAS. (fittings, tank, etc.)

Long due update from earlier today, air installation.
Test fitting the HKS Kansai strut bar to see how everything should be mounted and its clearance.
We decided to cut a "C" shaped floor board through for mounting the Solenoid Valves & Controller Box.
Begins the cutting, boba on the side because it's a hot ass day.
Board cutted, the IS300 trunk has an extra elevated surface, which is why the board we cut had to be shaped as "C" to fit it through as you can see here.
Later that night...
We also made a wooden wall to mount the tank sideways onto (so that it clears the strut bar).
The Solenoid Valves & Controller Box will be mounted behind the wall, so they're hidden.
Here's a view from the back of how it should look like:
The Solenoid Valves & Controller Box:
Sideview! This shows how the tank is mounted from the front. So once everything's mounted, you should only be able to see the tank mounted sideways against the wall. The Solenoid Valves & Controller Box are hidden behind the wall.

Thank you very much!
Another update on the air installation!
I had to buy a new battery because running 2 Air Zenith compressors will probably be very power hungry.
And this is one of the compressors.
The tank/wall fitted inside the trunk, under the strut bar.
Looks pretty cool!
We had to trace out another template for the sides of the trunk (area behind the taillight) for the compressor to sit on. Apparently for the IS300 trunk, that particular area isn't exactly symmetrical on both sides, so they had to be made individually by tracing the mat. Here's where it would roughly sit.
And this is where that piece of board would go. Same for the opposite side.
Compressor Board + Tank Wall + Tank + Box behind the wall...
A better look at the wall mount. If you look carefully, you can see some wires behind the wall, this is where all the complicated stuff goes.
Clean and good clearance for the strut bar!
After making the compressor board for the other side, we lifted my car up on the stands and it's time to swap out the rear struts.
Here's a comparison picture of the old Stance Coilover vs my new Airforce Strut.
The coilovers will be for sale once everything's swapped out btw.
New strut is in!

Airlines tucked in clean and nicely. The actually run under my carpet on the interior of the car rather than outside of the car, so nothing won't mess up just in case.

All air struts has been installed. These are sleeve-bags since the IS300 doesn't have much room for a double-bellow design.

This is kinda of an off-topic update since I haven't posted anything in about a month.
Just got one of these today.
Speedhunters Takata Tow Strap. EDTN Collection
I'm all about the hype.
I try to add the littlest details like this to this build thread so the slightest changes made to the car will be recorded here.

I had more stuff added to the air suspension setup, like manual switches.
Car's air suspension is pretty much done. Here's a teaser.

Thanks to Outcast Garage, I finally was able to order my authentic Chargespeed fenders. They stick out 20mm wider than stock. The car is finally going to the bodyshop soon for install & paint!

My car is currently sitting at T&L Autobody in El Monte, CA getting the bodywork stuff done.
Today we test fitted the Chargespeed fenders. Fitment is on point!

The problem is, with the way that Chargespeed fenders came out from factory, there's still quiet some width to the inner lip, which isn't going to give me the clearance I need to fit my wheels correctly.

So we took the fenders out...drew up some lines, and trimmed it down.

Lip trimmed out perfectly clean.

We test fitted again, lowered my car all the way down. And now the clearance is on point.

Recently just refinished my wheels, going to rebarrel them again to slightly more aggressive specs.
Front Fitment with a 3.0" Lip:

Looks like I'm going to be using a 2.5" front and 3.0" rear. Trying to do this without running much stupid camber.
And here's more detailed photos of the refinishing.
Wheels are not goldplated. They're powdercoated.

I'm in SoCal as well may I ask who did the powder coating?
Looks legit as does your entire build
