New, from Seattle

Sup everyone,
Been lurking the forums for awhile now. Finally signed up after I traded my car for a Y33/Q45. The car? I enjoy it, I think! Miss this car...

My first car that I owned for 4 years ish, SR20DET, all the goodies etc. Ended up trading that away for the Q45. I kept the meisters though, and plan on throwing them on the Q for now, until I can find some wheels that will fit better, and be more to my taste. Might be a tad small though, as they are 18x9.5 +24 and 18x10.5 +24 but we'll see how it looks!

No pics of the Q unfortunately, it's real plain and I honestly don't want to take any pics of it lol. Would have ordered coils by now but a week after I got my car the transmission took a shit on me, smh. Just ended up picking a used tranny from the junkyard and hopefully it all works out well, gonna swap it in sometime within the week. After that, planning to get some BC Coils, some suspension arms and throwing on the works just to chill for awhile through the winter. I think I will like the car more once it starts functioning and looking a little better haha.

Can't get away from the 240 scene though, hard to when so many of the parts are interchangeable as well. I'm sure it's been done, but anybody ever throw a bride seat in a Q? My driver side seat is a little torn up... kinda takes away from the whole VIP thing, but maybe it doesn't either :)

I am in washington too Port Orchard to be exact. I have seen your 14 before at GG i believe. Glad you picked up a y33. If you know about s14's you know about Y33s pretty much. I think those wheels will be sicksauce on the 33, reverse the dish, and sit at neg24 offset and camber the shit out of it! hahaha. You should post pics of it anyway though.

I would like to recommend you getting your BC coil overs from "OG" on here. He has worked with BC to figure out what is the best dampeners/springs for the ride height you will want.

I've went ahead and got in touch with OG for some coils. Gotta go locate some arms and then well be set.

I got a few issues to fix with the car tho. Anyone able to chime in about these things?

- e brake release doesn't work
- gas door doesn't open, button works and I can hear it trying to open it, but it's tough
- need to replace the hood dampers, they are shot

hit me up if you ever need any help. ive never had problems with release cables on mine, but for the hood dampers i just order cheap ones off ebay, they work perfectly fine. OG get you a good deal on coilovers? im thinking about selling my megans to get some BC's.

^ whattup dan, yeah Iman bought the car since you didn't want to ;) he just said the release cable wasn't working so I never really tried lol. But the gas door doesn't really open up... weird. OG has a great deal on the BCs right now and I am just waiting for more funds to come in before purchasing them.

Anyways, a little update. I got bored today... car is just on chopped springs (how I got the car lol) but like I said, waiting to place my order on some coils ASAP. One of my stock wheels/tire had a slow leak and I got tired of filling it up with air every other day (tire shop wouldn't fix the leak since the tires were so bald). Here's a little iPhone pic :)

I gotta space the front out maybe 10-15mm. Once I get coils, crank the front camber and tuck the rears and I'll be set. Gotta replace that front fender, but besides that, everything else is pretty solid.

I like your style, keep it up. Zenki looked real good too.

hmm ill have to hit him up for a set of coils! and yeah sometimes i regret not getting that s14 off of you since my s13 is taking so long to build and i miss drifting, but its in good hands now. im liking the q on the volks i must say! your car makes me want to get my lip/lower trip color matched, it makes the car look so much lower!

Im in tacoma, and I have been lurking for the past yr or 2. Q is sharp with the VOLKS. What style of Equips are you looking at?
I was active, but kind of at a stand still now. I dont have a platform to show and stuck where I am at now :(
