My 2000 LS400 - finally sitting nice enough for me to post it up here

***Updated Photos on Page 3 - air install completed***

So its been a while since my GS was sold and I picked up my UCF21 LS400. Well about 5 months ago I mounted some XXR 521's just to get my fenders fitted for 11's in the rear. Rolled around like that for a while and finally picked up some more parts. Well here is the start of my thread. So far she sits on Megan Coils, Wed Kranze Bazerrias and a couple of other small accessories. Next up is an Air Suspension Setup to go over my coilovers. Stereo and Exhaust work as well as paint and aero.

Car looks GREAT, loving the Bazreias, how do you like the LS400 as a daily? Been looking at scooping one up, a bit delayed now but none the less it's in the future.

Thanks guys, she WAS a great daily driver. On 20's with the previous drop I could almost get her into any type of parking structure. Now on 19's and sitting the way Ive wanted her to be sitting, well I guess Ill find out on Monday. But it was definitely a huge step up over my 02 GS300 I had before. Power, road noise etc is all a step above the GS of similar generations. Ive only had one thing go wrong with her, but I also did find her with only 68k on the odometer and single owner. She is just at 100k finally and still going strong.

same some money for that timing belt change. recommended at 80k miles if you haven't already done so.

What was the one thing that went wrong if you don't mind me asking? And as long as its a good car, I'm used to not being able to go certain places, bags should fix that. >:)

Yup actually had it all changed at 74k. Now I want to change up the front bushings and drill for the UCA clearance hole~

TPS sensor failure... pretty common and cheap to fix...

What's the wheel sizing on there?

I had them custom built to 19 x 10/11 - +5 fronts (hi-disk) and +0 rears Lo-Disks

looking real clean there. WEDS FTW!

looks good! could be a little lower in the rear IMO. (looks a little raked)

Actually considering going up a 1/4 in the fronts as I can barely turn with out fender rub right now... tough choices LOL

I like the way it sits, its a dd so , a 1/4" raise would still be ok imho, it looks good and to make the rear lower without  bags or cups wuld suck ass,

saw this on Cl when i was checking out the SC. Happy i got to see some more pictures of it. such a great looking car man.

Finally got the air installed. Went with airlift v2 for management. Accuair for tanks, exomounts and brackets, UAS bags over Megan coils. Total Stealth install also. These are just iphone photos for now until my shoot comes along for the updates. Next up is wider wheels by moving my rear lips to the front and putting 1" wider rear lips. Along with paint and more fender work. Does anyone here know how long it will take to re-lip these wheels via VR Wheels?

def next in line along with either widening these wheels, or ordering new wheels and running spacers till they arrive. Id love a 19 x 11 +0 and a 12 in the negatives. Or keep my current sizes and just go into the negatives to keep tire sizes down. Because I dont really want to run a 245 in the front LOL. Maybe go with a 19 x 10 -25 and a 19 x 11 -25. I wonder how much lip I could get with that. My current specs are 19 x 10 +5 and 19 x 11 +0. Seems like it would only add an inch of lip all around.

LOL because I literally work, go to the gym, work, take care of my kids and then do photoshoots on my days off. I go to a car meet maybe once every 2-3 months bro. If you are lucky lol.... Maybe if we can get a weekend meet going Ill be out more often to car things, but this weeknight bullshit is for little kids and ricers. I have a crazy career and well I have to be up early just to get started and being out on a weeknight till 11pm just isnt really an option for me. But if you go out on weekends I go to the pool parties LOL - always down for more company... but I usually take the benz to the casinos LOL. 

Although my friend did register my car for the EOS show on Aug 18th and I will be at Wrong Fitment Crews annual meet in the WFC OG section on Aug 31 in cali. The Aug 18th show I may just let my friend take it/show it as I have my kids and dont want to make them go out in the summer heat from like 4pm till 11pm LOL...

I hear you. I don't go to the weeknight meets either. I mainly meant the local shows. We're planning a meet for the weekend.

love the air setup. was considering the V2 as well but couldn't pull the trigger. how do you like it?

as for VR wheels, they can take awhile to relip but they do a good job. i'm not sure on the price of it all though. why do you choose VR over wheelflip? they are both in the greater socal region.

VR just because we have consistently used them with good results. I love the V2 so far. Smooth operation and reliable. Easy to use and 8 presets is amazing. I literally have them for
1- Just me at a pretty low height
2- Me and a Passenger pretty low height
3- emergency up -almost stock height)
4- super low height for only me and perfect road conditions and no turns LOL
5- air'd out
6- low with 4 passengers
7- road trip with full trunk
8- n/a

still stock arms.. just got an alignment today and camber is roughly -2.5 all around.

Whats up with vegas..... i havent seen any vip cars around...... i been out there for 4 weeks straight and all i seen were beater civics and alot of street bikes. You guys goin low key? lol

LOL what side of town are you on? Sounds like your staying in the ummm less affluent side of town. I have no beaters civics over here lol... but then again I live in a country club golf course and my neighbors driveway has an r8 while mine has a benz as my Lexus sleeps inside at night. Tons of VIP cars and other high end custom cars on the south west. But the VIP scene as a whole out here is pretty low key. We all know each other and rarely meetup as we all have families etc. Most of us make it out to the VIP festival in diego and a few other large shows. Also check out the local meets...

Ohhhhhh.... thats not nice... lol. I actually dont stay in Vegas i live in Chattsworth aka Porn Valley. I go out there for work periodically and have a buddy who also stays in a gated community of north apache road and i think its Charleston? 2 blocks from the shell gas station on Apache. But cruising around in my rental car its pretty much all i seen out there were civics 3 tone paint jobs and street bikes. The last time i was out there alot of exotics were roaming around for the targa trophy.  I usually stay within my working area but when i go out to eat or club it, its mainly the strip so i guess im looking in the wrong areas and yeah i will say i seen some sketchy areas such as Fremont st and Henderson.... good god. I never want to get stranded over there. hahahaha. I think i met you once before or seen you a couple of times on zilvia. You ever attend my house partys where i hired two strippers on two different occasions? lol

Maybe... Ive been too sooo many house parties in my past... but it has been a while... Im an old fart now and the house parties are silly to me lol. I prefer mixers at the tops of high rises or other non crowded atmospheres lol... Hell I even enjoy the art exhibits/cocktail parties... Nice and classy...

Yeah this was almost 4 maybe 5 yrs ago. When we were all pretty much single and in college lol nothing recent. Your feeling old?! Haa! i cant even do meets with the guys anymore past 12 without feeling like i need to sleep in my car and talk. lol As far as parties meehhhhh im a homebody now which is good cause i save alot of money. I do like going to some events other than that ps3 and landscaping the backyard. fun right? Name is chris by the way. Im sure we met before. I used to hang out before he started doing some super free lance work. skylar aka theSquidd he was my neighbor. He was know for the "white unicorn". Yea i consider us the silent running tribe now. lol. We are still in the drift scene. Its not as how it was before though. People get older, have families and you know how that goes. However some of the "youngins" have adopted on and are still doing it. During that time we did have 2 guys who were already doing both vip/drifting out of the group which was Jake and his SC (which he sold and bought a Honda fit and now a crZ), and Tuan from Aspec who owned the white ucf20 who now owns a miata, Hertech aka B.G. who was with Enjuku racing, owner of BeardLife and HOO****N member is now our Socal resident and as you can see hes sliding around our streets with his Rx7. BG had/has a Aristo which i think he still does if he didnt sell it.... so yea us old geezers are still at it lol. Since the beginning we were inflicted by the Bosozoku culture alongside anything mischievous lol. Ill be out there in vegas again with Platinum Vip displaying their Coop with owner [FONT=HelveticaNeue, Helvetica Neue, Arial, sans-serif][COLOR=#636363]Mr. Takakuni Jo from Job design who is going to showcase a lne of vehicles that have not been featured yet that will be at SEMA along with his own hes flying out to the states. I already said to much but Sema is definitely going strong with the vip line in and out of the convention. Its good to see familiar faces and seeing the passion for cars is still going strong. It has been a while since Ive actually taken updated photos of her... Since her last session with my camera she was just static and still two tone. Well now she is bagged, freshly painted, wider rear tires etc. Either way it was nice to actually be photographing my own car instead of someone else's for a change LOL

Then I added some front camber and went from Mayruns in 265/30/19 to the new Nankang NS20's in 265/30/19 which gave me like 10-20mm more space. Crazy how wide Mayruns run.
