Tire For 17x9.5 +16

what size tire do you guys recommend for a wheel with these specs...
going on an xB....this is just the rear....

front will be 17x8 +10... which i will probably go with a 205/40.....

so what should i go with???

thanks

215/45 to match 205/40.

slight stretch on 9.5" is 235/40 or 225/45 though

Easy there... 215/45 is quite a bit taller!

I'd look at 205/40-17 front + 225/35-17 rear.
Falken makes it. The 452 doesn't stretch that much...

That being said, the 225/35-17 will be more stretched on the 9.5"
than the 205/40-17 will be on the 8.0"

Or you could use 245/35-17 out back if clearance permits.

I ran into a similar situation on my AW11 MR2 ('85 model) and
could not get a combination I liked in 17", so I went 18"
205/35-18 on 18x8 and 235/30-18 on 18x9

Go here and start plugging in numbers...

225/35 is a bit too short I think. I would go 205/40 and 215/40. Seems like it'll be a tough one since the fitment is so unusual on an xB. Did you pick up the wheels yet? This might be one of those "trial and error" situations.

I think for the xB, it can be hard to do staggered widths by more than an inch. 8/9 or 8.5/9.5 would be better. 8/8.5 or 9/9.5 would be best.
