What do you guys think about this kit for the E39?

Hey Everyone,

I have been browsing around for quite some time and I finally have something to post. I love euros and imports. I would really love to combine both loves into one vehicle. I found this body kit that has tons of potentials and I wanted to get your VIP advice.

Sorry, I wished I had larger picture.

It's made by MVR, but according to the website, there are only a few sets in existance. Check it out. http://www.formulaimage.com/applications/1997-2003_BMW_E39_Sedan.aspx/0/530/_MVR_BMW_E39_Wide_Body_Kit_10_piece_

Let me know what you think.
Thanks! Bernie

Front looks like the oldschool vip styling, but IMO it doesnt quite suit the 5 series shape...

Interesting, I love building cars that are era specific, but a little twist with modern upgrades. Are talking about the side skirts? or the front lip?

I think Dom is talking about the kit as a whole. It just doesnt flow with the car. Though if you're set with this kit, the thing I dont like are the sideskirts. The wavy-ness towards the end of the sideskirt.

Yeah, the overall shape doesnt compliment the 5-series' lines.

If the sides matched the styling of the front then at least it would be pretty close to the blocky, real low styling from the late 90s in Japan. This tends to suit older, more blocky cars (even then its iffy unless complimented by widebody/flares etc)

Ironically, the current trend in Japan is to make kits that look like OEM BMW/Merc bumpers...

i disagree, they can look right... anything's possible. but that kit doesnt quite flow... esp. the skirts, they almost resemble backwards-mounted m3's (e36)....

even the front looks a little too snow-plow-ish
