My official introduction to VSC and my 460...

Hello VSC community, I thought I would officially introduce myself since I'm getting more into the VIP scene, and share a few pics of what I'm working on for my 460. I recently scooped up some Maya RTVs for a great price and test fitted them to see how the fitment roughly is since it's way more aggressive than my previous setup. I'm just waiting on coilovers to arrive and shave the fenders to get the fitment right. The car is on lowering springs right now, but it needs MOAR low for sure. Certainly will be addressed with BCR's coils with the extreme drop kit :D Anyways, here are some pics of the test fitting and some other stuff...

hmm,, nice setup thus far, i'm sure it will just keep getting better and better with a start like this...

i'm interested in this electronic cut out action you got going on. who, what, how, how much, how permanent is it? i really want this type of setup on mines but not sure if they have anything like this in japan or how easy it would be to get it installed out here. is that a kit you bought or what? thanks for the info.

Thanks... Iv'e definitely thought about going with an air setup, but I don't think I would do it anytime soon for a number or reasons.

Thanks...it's all custom. Basically, the parts needed are two 2" QTP electronic cutouts, two 2" U-band pipes, remote switch, and 2 flanges. I had a local speed shop fabricate it all together. PM me for more info.

The 600 is definitely more of an elite vehicle, but the 460 is a better platform for modding IMO for a few reasons. You will not be disappointing with either though!

Played around with some plasti dip and had a win/fail situation, hahaha! I tred to blackout the white section in the rear taillights,( inspired by WEKSOS), but it turned out horrible, so I took it off immedietely. I also did the front orange corner section on the headlights, and I think it came out decent, so I left them on for now. I did 3 coats of black and 3 or 4 coats of the glossifier. I will have a proffesional tint them later though... Here are some pics of the mess, hahaha!

Thanks fellas ^^

I finally got the rear fenders shaved today,( shout out to Stefan at Elite custom auto body here in Jacksonville for some legit work). I put on the rear wheels to drive around the block and see if the rubbing was gone, and discovered that I installed the hub ring incorrectly. After I got back I took off the wheel to discover a warped hub ring, and a stripped or bent stud, (I think from over torquing when the wheel was not aligned with the hub), I successfully replaced the ring and CAREFULLY mounted it back up and all was good again, except that I could not get the nut on that one stud :p ....but the good news is no more rubbing, hahaha! So all I have to do is change that bad stud out, which I'm finding out isn't all that bad, but yeah, that's my mini update....still waiting for the coilovers!!

Here's the messed up ring...

I wasn't able to lower the fronts much yet since it's rubbing pretty bad. I'm going to roll or shave the front fenders next week and cut out the plastic fender liner, too.

Quick update... I went down to Miami to trade a guy for his 600 headlights, and everything worked except for the AFS function. I would of been fine with the AFS light, but the problem is that my headlights didn't work on the other guys car, because it was modified to utilize the other headlights. At least I can say I had them on for 1/2 hr LOL!

Forum image

When they had the front bumper off and the headlight out, I had the tech put in the white "nike" light bulbs and they came out nice, but not as nice as the baller 600 lights though...

I also lowered the front finally today... needs a 5-10mm spacer to be flush...

No, it is just a common problem with 460's where the bushings wear out pretty fast... they fixed it with the new design of the control arms, but it's around $4000 to do it...which is why im saving up now LOL

From what I read that the bushings can not be pressed out, instead the entire arm must be replaced. No wonder your saving up now, new arms ain't cheap. I'll do the same, I guess my bags are gonna have to wait, LOL

i heard about this bushing issue. they do use soft bushings to get that nice plush ride, with the cost of early replacement. why not go aftermarket?! they cost just about the same, if not cheaper than OEM!
