springs????

hey , i saw those tanabe springs for the 1gen gs/aristo they would rop 1.8 inches (in my country we messure in cm)
now my gs is sitting on intrax springs that are a bit higher (not real much but a bit)

i read a topic somewhere about cutting a little bit of the spring to get it a bit lower.
it sounds great but i'm a bit worried it wil kill the ride maybe..
in that topic the guys that did cut the springs said it was all good and the ride was great

now i'm thinking of replacing the intraxx springs for the tanabe springs , but 
maybe i can try cutting the intraxx springs a bit ..

what dou you guys think , any idea's to this or sugestions ??

dont ever cut springs. the ride will be a bit bumpier and the spring ratio will differ already

that's what i always said , then i read that topic on a nother vip forum (got there through a link of a member here) and read about 4 guys did and where statisfied with it so that made me wonder .
but i know it's a bit weird to even consider it , but since i only wanna drop a little bit in the front i thought could give it a try , but still the idea sounds a bit bad to me

i have a first gen gs also. i had tanabe springs on it but as you said it wasnt low enough for me. i cut 2 coils and it still rode smooth. i didnt mind the different ratio. all that mattered to me was that it was the ride height i wanted and the ride was still good for me. this is just from personal experience and just my opinion.hope this helps. gl with  your car

im not sureabout other brand springs but tanabe didnt bounce for me or didnt hit fenders depending of course with your wheel offset. 2 coils was good for me
