Wheel refinishing - I want to keep the faces Brushed Looking - Who offers this?
So my Weds Kranze Bazerrias have some rash from a missed impact gun and ended up getting some scratches on the face of the rim. Id like to send them out to have the lips repolished and to have the faces refinished, but not to a high polish finish? Is that possible? All I see offered by WheelFlip/VR is face polishing/powder coating. Thanks guys... Id really like to get this done before April 13'th LOL... We only have one local guy who does it in town, and his reputation for time/lag etc is soo bad Id rather not risk using him.

by brushed i assume you mean machined. a mahine shop can put the lines back onto the face, but i wouldn't expect a perfect match. pics?

Im actually going to send out all 4 wheels. As they weren't in as good condition as I thought they were before I bought them from VR wheels. I also don't want a mirror polish look. Im just hoping that I can keep the brushed look.

yeah; that's machined, not brushed. not a lot of wheel refinishers do this finish because of the equipment required. i think your best bet will be one of the manufacturers that does refinishing as well, such as rotiform.

Yeah wheel refinishers can easily do that kinda of brushed finish

there's a difference between brushed and machined. machined has uniformed grooves machined into it. brushed is technically just matte, but sometimes they use scotchbright or another abrasive to put lines in it.

Those are diamond cut. I asked VR last time I was there and they said they have a CNC lathe that is able to custom machine wheel faces. I think it's around $100 a wheel.
Brushed is totally different from diamond cut. It doesn't have the rainbow effect.

What's the difference from diamond cut vs. machined then?

diamond cut and machined are the same. "diamond cut" just sounds cooler.
some machined wheels i've had have also had a pearl under the clear, i assume this is to amplify the prismatic effect.

You've tried the local wheel shops? Like wheel flip and VR wheels? They don't do diamond cut/machined faces?
