New From Sac

Hey I'm new to driving / VIP .

Well , I don't even have a car yet that's the main reason why I'm on here ( also the cars inspire me to also join the VIP scene . )

I'm 16 getting a new car , I was wondering if the VIP members can help me choose a FIRST car that can be VIP'd and a gas saver / cheap fixing parts. :P

I had in mind a Acura TSX , Acura TL 2005/08 , or an Honda Civic V6 .

No negative comments please .
- Thanks .

And Acura isn't necessarily a "VIP" true car brand. Whats your price point and that can help us narrow it down. Obvious choices are 90-95 LS400 and older q45. But they are big v8, not great on gas.

Sounds like you need to do a lot (A LOT) more research before jumping into what you think is "trendy"

Re: New From Sac

I would respectfully disagree when it comes to the acura RL. theres been MANY rls featured in vip mags, and many succesfully done up. The tsx, and tl, though i do agree (both are great cars though and can look great when setup nicely!)

Op, maybe consider an acura rl if you are set on those brands. If not, lexus ls400/430s are fantastic cars, fit what some consider to be "traditional" platforms, and can be found very reasonably priced!

I thought that we were all over the whole "elite" mentality...

Buy what ever car YOU feel comfortable with and build as you please... that's what really matters at the end of the day... Your vision of the car in your vision of a vip styled car...

Good luck...

Hmmm 4k budget, I'd say go for 1st gen GS/SC300... won't brake your bank and you'd still have money for some basic mods, like used coil and wheels. Plus the gas mileage is a bit better than with the V8's. Just my 2cents.

qft.

but there are a shit ton of g50 q45's all around the junk yards in sacramento so finding parts is easy and cheap as hell. and they're super cheap on craigslist. way cheaper than many of the lexus' around town.

For 4k
Id say q45, gs300, or ls400

Just hit up craigslist adds and lowball haha its the circle of life...when you buy you lowball when you sell you get lowballed:pat:

the RL option that visitor mentioned would be my choice however

the RL was my choice, AND I LOVE IT. Its a great car. BUT i have a MUCH harder time finding used parts for it than i would have for an LS400! Local pull a parts are littered with those, ive seen TWO RLs in 4 years of going..
