#483989New Member from Essex, UK. Something a bit different
Hi everyone. I'm a 19 and from Essex in the UK. I try to do something different with my cars and mix and match my styles a bit. This brings me onto my VW Passat. The Passat is widely modified in the same euro style. This just wouldn't do it for me so I decided to introduce some elements of VIP style to the car. It's not a VIP platform, nor is it on VIP wheels but I think the ensemble does give off a luxury feel which separates it from the way Passats are normally modified.
I bought the car last year and got it sitting low on coilovers. It was cleaned up, mopped and polished and I drove it for a while on a set of deep dish 18s. Being black with plenty of bling I decided I wanted to up my game with it. I swapped the wheels for a set of monoblocks in gunmetal grey.
The car had a full respray and the boot smoothed. I wanted the car immaculate.
Next I decided I wanted a set of wheels that I knew for certain I would never see on another Passat. I opted for Lenso truck wheels. 9j with 00 offset. These where 6x114 PCD so I had them custom machined to 5x112 and stretched 205/40s on the back and 215/35s on the front. The fitment is reasonable aggressive but not ridiculous. This is my daily drive and I live out in the sticks. I use the car daily for college and evening delivery driving.
The interior is an ongoing project. I started by making a custom Pioneer boot build and upgrading the rest of the audio to Pioneer. My next addition will be a Pioneer double din with satnav to complete it. I ripped out the grey cloth interior and installed a black Audi A6 Carpet, a very rare wood oem steering wheel, black electric heated leather seats and my next project for the inside will be a black damask flocked velvet headlining and pillars. I have a Mercedes s class fridge to go in the compartment between the rear seats. I want some JP accessoories including curtains, neck pads and rear seat cusions.
Plans and ideas are changing all the time. Be interested to hear your comments and ideas. Not really true VIP style but I want to include some elements and make something unique. It's early days but would like some feedback!
