looking for opinions..please chime in!!

i ordered some replica Chanel fabric to put in my car a while back. the only thing that is stopping me from using it is i dont want it to look tacky or out of place in the car.the car is a SC300 w/tan interior. i would only do the bottom portions of the seats (where you put you ass at!) in the front and rear.

im a real Chanel fan. but we wont get into that. i've been replacing the interior wth brand new Lexus oem equipment and even with my discount its high, but i want it nice inside.

what do you think?

Hmm, why would you think it's tacky and out of place?

well its the cars that have it plastered all inside the car that make me shy away from it, but i think if i stick with the way i want to use it, hopefully it will come out nice

afaik you can't just buy a roll of Chanel fabric, you'd have to cut up their products, like with Gucci and Vuitton.

Actually, I didn't even realize there was a Chanel print...what does it look like?

you cant get it. the companies do not retail material. you'd have to buy items they make to get the real thing.

and i bought my girlfriend a Chanel ski hat and it ate $376.00 out of my wallet!!

but i got my Junction Produce stuff and some ass in return!!

Heh, nice deal.

yeah, I dunno where you could put it that it wouldn't look a bit tacky since it would be obviously fake...but if it's a nice print I guess if it's used in moderation the same as you'd use any other textile it could even look great.

Well, how much of an improvement would it be over using some leather without logos all over it? Is it the logo and brand recognition that makes it look much better? Or does the true quality lie in your choice of color and execution?

IMHO, I wouldn't do it simply because Chanel does not design leather for car interiors.

well its both. the color is very nice and it doesnt clash with the rest of the upholstry. to me; it would just add some uniqueness to my car.

great feed back guys!! keep it coming!

if Junction Produce made a leather kit like they do for the Aristo and Celsior id be on like stank on s**t!!

but the Soarer didnt get that much love from them....

I say bite the bullet and cut up some original stuff, I mean what good is frontin the stuff if you know it's not real? Let's say your car gets a load of attention and makes a mag, how's "and for the interior Fake Chanel print leather was used." compared to "and for the interior real Chanel print leather was used from actual products bought as donors." damn big difference, i mean if you aren't really into showing your car and getting recognition then I guess it's ok but if what you say about the moderate use and in small subtle amounts is true, then you should be able to get away with it only using like two to three bags or products. That's the route we are going on my girl's TL, she loves her some designer stuff and one in particular, so we are literally cutting up like four handbags as donors and two coin purses to have material for her head rests and for the holder/clips for her curtains. Just my opinion man, and oh yeah.... damn your ride is nice Forum image

word....i can do that. thats well said because basically i dont use knock-off products on my car. i try to get the best for my money even if i have to do without for a while. and since im only doing small portions of the seats i dont think it would burn the wallet that much anyway. plus there is a fly ass chick that works @ Chanel here in Dallas! maybe i can spit some game at her, some hotel action, (plus a lil dough..) and get it for cheap!!

BTW, thats not my car in the avatar.

okay guys, check this out. they have some nice priced items at the C store and 2 fly chick as well!! now, since my interior is tan i opted for the black and tan purses that they have. to do the bottom parts of the seats would run about $600.00 for the material, so i might do it. if not im just going to refresh the seats with sandstone color and black inserts.
