How to go lower on Y33 with BC coils?

Hey everyone I want to go lower in the front but the front is maxed out. Its sitting about 1 cm above wheels. Any way I can get the front lower? I even loosened the spring all the way to gain a little more. The rear is fine and can tuck rim, but the front is not the same :(

shorter shocks and springs are the correct way to get lower.

this is right. i order these coils up to 80mm shorter than the original specs for my customers who want to go low.

BC should start selling them as the short damper and only sell the longer variation when requested. Far too many people buying them expecting them to dump the car just the be let down.

I think I did order them with the shorter specs? Do you still have my specs?

wwhat was the name? i can pull it up. it was a step by step process, so i'm sure you didn't get the -80s.

you have -40mm 16/12. what i've learned since then is that when you go too high with the spring rate without shortening the damper appropiately you raise the minimum height because you reduce the droop. if i was to order a -40mm setup now it would be 12/10k. it's probably possible to use the rear spring up front and add some 10k springs to the rear. this would be the easiest/cheapest solution. to keep the rate but get more drop you will need shoorter damper and springs, which i can also do. or you could sell what you have and we can go at it with the surrent specs. sorry i didn't get it perfect the first time, this is just part of the process with these custom specs. i had to learn as i went.

I'm stuck in a similar situation with 14/12 rates. How much more drop do you think I could get by swapping front and rear springs?

i'll have to look up your specs when i get home. what was happening was everyone wanted high rates but we weren't shortening the dampers enough to compensate for the loss of droop. i figured this out later down the line. some of the early setups are actually sitting higher than an out of the box setup would. rule of thumb is 1/2" loss of compression for ever +2k. so a +2k/-20mm really only yields ~1/4". my apologies fellas.

if you guys that ordered from me want to rebuild your coils to go lower i'll give y'all cost on parts. it's the least i can do.

you have -40mm 14/12. by changing it to a 12/10 setup you should gain ~.5".

so if i alter from 18/16 to 14/12..i could see roughly .75-1inch difference?!

that's what bc is telling me. i have not done any testing myself.
