Hello from New Zealand!

Hey All, I've just found this website recently (surprising) and I'm sure glad I did. I've noticed there's a couple others NZers on here as well which is cool.

My name is Alex, I run a company in New Zealand called Moonlight Racing, performance parts import company since 2007.. not here to tout that though! I've always been interested in the VIP side of things, most of my previous cars have been Hondas and I still run an EF9 race car. Many years ago I almost started a VIP RA2 Honda Odyssey project actually, had a large (10 piece or something) kit for it and all, then the gearbox gave in and I was too broke to continue. Moving on a few years and a few more various Hondas (and a Nissan 180SX) I now daily drive an E39 540i which I'll be looking to sell probably end-ish of this year and hopefully pickup a GS300 (or Toyota Aristo as they're also called here). Prefer the GS300 with black leather though if possible! Some pictures anyway..

Excuse most of the shitty photos, phone camera! So anyway that's a bit about me, some of the builds here are awesome and I'm really hoping with a few people in the scene here we can make a bit of VIP scene revival in NZ!

should really do up your e39, far too many of them are ruined with cheap 20 chromies and compressed springs:)

Haha yeah.. oh well at least it's not a 725i on some Rotas.. haha.

I love the GS300 shape though, super VIP style. I'd love an LS430 but too much cash here

gs's are getting played out now... theres atleast 4 of them around auckland...

e39s can swallow up some serious rims bro:)

ls430 are sweet, but hey, look at ls400 or a celsior, every kid had one bofore mercs and bmws got all cool:) and it wont be too long till ls430 will be the same.

It's true, we'll see how the year pans out.. still love the old GS .. there are a few but none of them are really done up VIP style. Some are starting but nothing amazing..

i dont think so NZ will ever have true vip style... it seems everyone has gone for drifting and euro style... even when its not that hard to import stuff from japan. I can go pick up a "platform" car tomorrow and do it up, but at the end of a day i rather have something different... not that many sentias around thats for sure:)
