Newbie question? g50/q45 conversition

I am very new to the vip scene. So I hope you guys can lead me in the right direction! How hard is it and what do I need to convert the front end of my 1990 us Q45 into the japanese g50presidential model? What I'm refering to is the grill area and headlights. I also wanted to know more information on the session kit as well as a us provider for that kit. Thanks

I think it may be a bolt on affair if it is not the LWB President model. Or are all presidents lwb?

Anyway it will be EXPENSIVE though. Nobody seems to be able to give me a answer about importing the front end. Except for JZS INternational. Can't remember the guys name on this forum. But they can get you what you need.

Zeroism is his name.

I thought you were getting a kit for your car?

I have the jp kit. But after seeing the session kit nothing else will do. I have a lead on grill, headlights, front hood emblem parking pole, and the rear pieces. What I need to know is the grill asssembly and headlight area a bolt on from one to the other? I can't see lwb changing that. But again I am completely new to this. So let me know thanks

Haha yeah just saw that! I work graveyard and when I started this thread I think It was like 4 am so please be gentle!

I've received some valiable help so far! Thanks. My next question is what and where is the difference in a lwb presedential model and say a g50kouki? I have a 1990 so I understand the early to late q45 front style difference. I have a lead on a complete front end for a g50kouki which I know will fit. But I also have a lead on a presedential front end! The concern is will those fenders and hood fit?

I honestly don't know if there is a non lwb version of the president. I would assume so since ppl post "lwb president" when speaking of the car. BUt as noted before it is an expensive swap since the pieces are not often imported. BUt if you know the where abouts of a front end state side already. I would see about fender measure ments. if there is a non lwb version then it should bolt on but i understand there is a bout a 4 inch difference in length.

check here.

Page 2 lists the differences. but it says lwb vs g50 not vs regular PHG50

According to this site there were models of President that had the same wheelbase as the 1990 Q45:
President:

Q45:
http://english.auto.vl.ru/catalog/nissan/infiniti_q45/1990_10/19906/

Note the wheel base and tread measurements. Exactly the same...

Yeah I saw that link to. That's why I was wondering where the lwb was different?the only area I can think would be firewall forward towards front wheels? Therefore making the front clip longer. I come that conclusion because everyone agrees the doors are exactly the same.

The JS was a standard wheelbase like the Q45 as shown by the links Dominik posted. The Sovereign trim lines were the extended wheelbase cars:

Now tell me they werent biting Jaguar's style with those model lines!

I'm pretty sure the LWB has longer rear doors and a longer cabin. Whats the point of making longer wheelbase if it doesnt give the passenger more room?

And the mystery continues! I can't find anything that say specificlly where the difference is. I hope its in the doors cause that will make the conversion that much easier.

I don't think you have to worry as "long" as you get the non lwb parts. no pun intended.

You guys have been very helpfull and I've got a solid base as to which direction to go. Its looking like a I will getting a g50Kouki front end and grill. The presendent hood emblem, and rear tail lights section. Mirrors and a few other things. Hopefully my lead on the session bodykit will be giving me good news in two days!? Thanks again. If anyone can help me post photos I will gladly email what I've done and have so far to car.

Yeah , right! I do all this on a sidekick3 and am not home enough to sit on a computer and do all that! Work as a union mechanic and have my own fab shop building cars(mostly hotrods, kustoms and airbag setups, but a lot of 240 lately)

The difference in wheelbase is in the rear of the car. The rear doors are a few inches longer. It allows a ton of leg room and the rear seats to recline. Just like a bmw 740 vs a 740IL. From what I understand though the front ends are interchangeable as long as you use all the panels.
