Megan coils with uas bags
I have a legitimate question, my setup does not have springs they were removed for the bags, however i see companies selling coils with springs that have bags attached. What is the benefit from this? Can i cut mine to make them fit under the bag? I guess i just want to understand the purpose more. Thanks.

sounds like you're talking hybrid. the benefit would be that you would be riding on the spring and using the bag to lift/drop. i think this could be done with the right parts, but i don't know how well it will perform or anyone who has done it.

Hmm I was wondering the same thing. So its like a cup kit with a bag instead

If i cut my megan springs to fit under the bag will that work? Or do you think there is more to it than that?

you can always test it yourself and worse comes to worse, if the ride sucks, you can just take the springs out. i would think it all depends on the characteristics of the bag.

try it out and let us know!
you can probably put a plate between the bag and the spring?

yeah. i would use a short swift spring with maybe a helper spring adapter.

Im going to use the megan ones first since they are here, if it works i will have to get with you to determine a final solution

So you gonna cut the megan springs?

if you cut them they won't be flat on the end. i wouldn't expect it to work well.

depending on how much room you still have left on preload adjustment, the height of the spring and the compressed height of the bag, you might be able to do it, but only if you have like 4 - 5 inches left of preload adjustment. but without having either here in front of me i couldn't tell you definitively
