New Guy in Okinawa

Hey what is going on everyone. My name is Matt. I am stationed in Okinawa, Japan. I currently drive a built FD RX7 and just picked up a Toyota Aristo V300 this weekend. Was refered here by a friend of mine. This will be my first VIP car. The car is a 2JZGTTE and currently automatic. I will be swapping it to a 5spd in the future. I do plan on putting it sideways from time to time which is kinda why I am selling my FD because to much money is involved in the car to put it sideways. The car now is pretty built. Tein Coilovers, Trafficstar 19x10s, built engine how much exactally I do not know at this time. I have always wanted a GS so glad I found this for the price I did. I am pretty sure I will be happy getting back in a big body car.

I am a noob to VIP cars so don't fault me I am still learning I got a pretty good friend giving me the rundown on VIP cars. I have however always been a mechanic so not any issues there. I will post pictures when I can. I have seen some of the cars on the site here and the cars just blow my mind. First time I seen a VIP car I fell in love glad now that I can get into it and have luxory and everything. I look forward to meeting new people and seeing things done that I haven't seen before.

Thanks -Matt

You can get good deals on Yahoo japan auctions and upgarage on parts for your build just in case you haven't used it already

Welcome and I really look forward to how your ride turns out and I would like to see pics of the scene out there now I lived on kadena for 12yrs and it was a good scene in the 90's before I left in 94 so I just want to see which direction it has gone

Thanks guys. Ya Dranom I have used YAJ for my Rx7 parts. I have been talking to my buddy (sojah) about what to do to the Aristo. He has been giving me ideas and I need to slam it as soon as it passes inspection. That is why the car is raised up now. I am so used to certain areas to do on turner's and hotrods on this one I know I want it simple and clean just not sure what ave of approach to take it. I'm sure it will come to me though.

@squadoneY33 I hope it turns out nice. Obviously being military it might take me a while but I think I have the time and patience to sit it out and take my time and make it an eye catcher. I will have my friend to help me along the way with ideas. I love his crown and there are a few VIP cars still here running around. At least parts for this car are no where near the price as they are for my RX7.

nice pickup daon3Nonly, or shall i just say Matt... once you got it slammed and all nice and shinny we will have to do a white on white vip photo shoot.

i think we should start our own vip car club like those japanese dudes with the all black crowns and aristos have here. i forget their car club name but i was thinking something like "The White Tigers" or "Wonder Bread",,, just kidding, but seriously though i can get some custom stickers made in any color any size any font just need to give my friend the template and he will mail them over. any suggestions¿

I'd be down for a photoshoot once I get the car cleaned up well and drop the coil-overs back down. If I have time this weekend maybe I can get the suspension dialed in. We will have to see though we can think on suggestions.
