What kind of food?
Some of my "cheaper" favorites that aren't too far from the freeway :
Island Style : Hole in the wall Hawaiian/Korean
808 Hawaii Mixed Plate : Hawaiian not too far from EDC
Old School Pizzeria : Cheap za by the slice, not too far from EDC
Ellis Island : Amazing $8-9 steak special and $2 tall drafts!
Tacos El Gordo : Cheap $2 Tacos and $5 Adobaba/El Pastor Fries!
Krung Thai and Komol : Good Thai food spots not too far from the strip.
Noras : Excellent home style Italian at less than Olive Garden prices
Rollin Smoke BBQ : Hole in the wall Amazing BBQ at very reasonable prices
Yun Nan Garden : Great authentic Chinese / Szechuan food
Pho Kim Long, Pho So 1, Da Lat : Cheap but good Vietnamese food
Omelet House (Charleston) : Great breakfast esp Omelets!
Lola's : Reasonable Cajun / Southern food off the freeway
Sammys LA Pastrami : Good, cheap pastrami and great herb fries!
I have a food blog with most of these covered if you would like to see pictures. www.Facebook.com/LittleFoodieDude

The funny thing is that I never eat there anymore because the service sucks lol. I go to Ross J's aloha kitchen on sunset. Good food, service and good portions.
