G50 Wheel Choice Advice : Help us out
Hey what's up Vipstyler's!
We are looking for a set of wheels to fit perfectly with the theme of our g50 president setup, but its difficult not passing that ghetto hood style.
My ideal fitment is 18x9 and 18x10 +15 lo-disk all around with a custom metal widebody in the rear with minimal camber.
I would really want to know what kind of face wheel I should use? I want something og looking with a full face without that hood style or ghetto look to it.
The theme we are going for is like 1980s to 1990s old school jag or bentley look alike with an elegant updated flare.
Our g50 right now on stock wheels:
G50 with some photo shopped flying spurs on them.
What wheel choice would you recommend or what do you know of that will match this description.
I am sending the car to paint in 2 weeks and want my wheels prior so I can setup the look. Please help us out.

I ended up talking to our forgestar dealer about a set of these at a INSANELY sick price. Custom made in any size, offset, and color I want. Just need to see how their disk settings work.
I plan on doing cadillac brembos and sti rear brembos all around so facing makes a difference. If it falls through then I will go with the Scara's. I appreciate the feedback boys. I will also update this thread on what wheels I go with.
All feedback or ideas would be appreciated. I still haven't 100% settled on a wheel.

Meh.. On the forgestars but it's your car in the end.
cadillac brembos is a close fit or you need custom brackets?

the price they are giving me is INTENSE. Custom color and sizing for the price of rpf1's.
The sti rear brembos are a direct fit onto the q45. The caddy front brembos can be ordered for $300 brand new, run a evo 9 front brembo rotor, 300zx conversion brake lines, and a custom bracket. With some trimming and cutting of course. Pretty much a full front and rear bbk with upgraded rotors for the ball park of $900 bucks fresh.
I might be picking up a set of vskf's for the same price. I will update you guys late today.

Forgestars are pretty terrible imo..
As for the brakes, if I remember correctly the CTS-V uses a larger rotor than EVO/STI. Plus, there are off the shelf brackets available for the EVO front calipers.
I thought your fenders were radiused??

Same size rotor. They even use the same pads. I wanted to use the brembo cts-v since I can get them each for $150 dollars off shelf brembo. Way better than some abused clear coat peeling evo or sti brake caliper.
Only my rear fenders are getting radiused since zenki g50's rear fenders are super small compared to phg50 front fenders. I am just doing a +15mm wider than my fronts to give it a whatever type look.
Building a car is all about budget to me. I ALWAYS make money after selling a build and do so by keeping to budgets. I can't see myself doing 3-4k on wheels. I pretty much swoop on any deals I can get.
Looks decent. I'm sold on pricing and custom options. I am talking with my bro over at VR wheels about something custom. I will get a 100% answer from both wheel companies today.

Jeff over at VR WHEELS gave me an offer I couldn't refuse. Custom vskf's are in the build process.
18 x 9 +10 - med disk - 4."5 of lip
18 x 10 + 16 - lo disk - 5" of lip
Black pearl clear over diamond cut faces with polished hardware and lips.
Spoiler of me side fitting a vskf to see what the faces would look like on a g50 squared body.

G50s a tough resale market though...its best for THIS scene, in my own personal opinion, to just build the car to how you want it and forget the overall tally. If making money is something your after... at least in legit parts, they will always hold there value and is just in a sense money in the bank.
Anyways look forward to this builds progress

The VSKF would look dope! Something fresh and different. I was running 18x9 -9 and 18x10 -6 with just a fender roll with stock camber specs. If you are planning to do body work you can go a lot more aggressive with the wheels.
Ohh yea and Kenstyle Locksmice FYE

Yea, that's part of the reason I bought one. Because I knew I'd never be able to sell it! hahaha G50's are just old clunkers to most. :(
