I am going to supercharge my 2000 LS400 - tuning options?

So what options will work as Piggy back setup for my LS400? I see blown GS400's so there has to be a form of fuel control. Map ECU?

Who makes a full stand alone for an LS400 w/vvti. Also no pass smog with a stand alone. Piggy back most def can pass smog with in vegas.

Maybe you can use GReddy Emanage or convert to speed density and run a HKS VPC?

theres a guy that modifies mkii aem for pnp iirc. check lextreme forums.

Why would a standalone not pass smog? 
Do you require an OBD2 plug in and scan or is it just a tailpipe sniffer?
if it's just the sniffer, a compitany tuner should be able to make it run clean enough to pass with flying colours.
if you do the ODB check, again an intelligent tuner/installer should be able to integrate a standalone into the factory ECU wiring to be able to tick the factory ECU into thinking it's still controlling the show and doing it properly...

might not not be anywhere nears as cheap as a piggy back but it can be done...

obd2 plug in... its a 2000 LS... and Ive yet to hear of anyone in our city to make a stand alone pass. Not even insane speed/virtual works etc and all their cars are running stand alones. Not worth the trouble for a 2k+ ecu for under 500hp in my opinion. I am buying a new m3 as a track car for xmas so the LS will still only be my vip cruiser. Just want a little more power in her is all.  Any piggyback will allow you to pass smog and control a simple fuel system and ignition control system for a third the cost. If I was building another race car, def I would not care to spend 2k plus on another stand alone.
