18X8 215/35/18 dunlop 901 or Falken?

Looking for opinions on tires for a 18x8 monoblock wheel. Going on an FWD with about 1-1.5 deg neg. camber, looking for the total package, some stretch, low diameter and good treadwear all while looking good.

I have a 205/40/16 Dunlop on a 7.5 and it's got a decent amount of stretch for a 205, thinking the 215 on the 8 would be slightly better. No camber on this car but tire wear has been good.

I've seen the 215/35 falkens on hahajoey's works and they look good too. Also seen other wheels in person and know the falkens stretch nice on 16's.

So what do you guys think? I've found the dunlops for $110 each at tire rack, so I'm looking in that basic price range if you have any other recommendations.

i have 215/35/18 on a 9" wide wheel and it's stretched pretty thin. there isn't much tire around the rim.

Thanks but that isn't really answering my question. I know I want a 215/35 (well I really want a 195/40/18 but that isn't happening) so what brand 215/35 is what I am asking.

Pics and brand of your 215/35 would be nice though.

Here is a 215/35-18 Dunlop FM901 on a 18x8.5" wheel. :) 

I know these are 17's but a 205/40-17 and a 215/35-18 have the same exact sidewall thickness. :) Here are specs of these pics.

Thanks for the picture, gives me a great idea of what it looks like. Unfortunately I am not sure that it's the look I'm going for. Sidewall almost looks thick because of the rim protector. If I was 9" I'd def go for the 901's but now I need to see a better pic of the Falken to make the decision.

Anyone else feel free to drop recommendations. I know toyo makes the t1R in a 205 but most toyo's look chunky, even when stretched nicely. If I were on 17's I'd def be doing a 205 or 195, the 18 really has limited choices though.

From my experience..
Falkens seem to "look" or actually stretch more than 
other tires of the same size/series..
Like a 215/35 on a 8" wide wheel(18") looks like borderline
205/35 or something liek that.
I had yokohama prada spec2's.. once i jumped into falken grb 451's. i was able
to push my wheel out another 3-5mm.

I've found the same things to be true with other tire sizes my friends are running.
If they get falkens, they can almost push out their wheels 5mm all around.

ST115 and FK451 both seem to be smaller than other manufacturers.  That or like you said the side wall design makes them look more stretched
my 225/35/19 Falken ST115 on 19x9.5 is hanging on for dear life ! ha

To quote a buddy who works at the costco tire shop "I don't even wanna stand next to that wheel/tire setup let alone drive on it" haha

Depending on the car, and how low it is, I'd personally recommend against such a low profile tire... but if it's a smaller car that doesn't weigh a lot and/or you're sliggity slammed, then it's all good

The problem I find with running a super low profile tire and smaller diameter is you have to bring your car even lower just to get rid of the gap.

Yeah I hear you 100%. This isn't your typical VIP or VIP style application that we are talking bout. First off it's only about 26-2700 curb weight, so it's def on the lighter side. It's also small and is going to be rather low. I'm looking to tuck rim in the rear and just be at the top of the tire in the front. That precludes any type of taller tire. And I am into the EXE look so I don't wanna go wider and have to flare/widebody the fenders. 

I do appreciate your advice though and as I make some progress I'll post pictures.
