Accuair with LS430 UL?
After owning my UCF20 with Stance coilovers and navigating AZ roads with the family in tow, I decided to pick up a UCF30 UL for a more comfortable ride for family duty. With the UCF30 factory suspension still in excellent working condition with 115k upon purchase, I really don't want to do away with the factory bags while they still are in good condition. If they die on me....different story.
However, I'm looking to see the possibilities of bypassing the factory management and adapting a full ACCUAIR system to the factory bags. What is the possibility? Drawbacks and headaches?
I am aware I could simply run a controller, but for $650-800 and documented issues surrounding the product, it seems like a waste of time and money.

i think racinstylez did it on his ucf30 ul, but ultimately went with uas before he sold the car.

Not worth it...if the air shocks are at 115k they're at the end of their life.

Quite possibly right... I am going to run the Accuair regardless of factory or aftermarket bags. so would it not make sense to use the factory air until they die? Some have documented well into the 150k range prior to failure. But then again, I'm not aware of the possible headaches that lurk beyond the idea.
I contacted accuair directly and they were not aware of anyone attempting to mate factory to their product, but they suggested factory struts with UAS due to the difference in air line sizing.

nah, the ability of the stock air to run at lower than stock height with any efficiency is dismal

You'd have to hack up the OEM air bags to install the proper fittings. You still have to run new lines and air management. It's a good assumption that running low is going to get rid of any life you have left. Yes, there may be some people squeezing 150k out of their OEM air suspension, but they're running OEM height.

Thanks all for the input. This really changed my mind, but now leaves me with the old question as to which airbag setup to pick up. All in one unit like airlift or airrex or build my own with UAS..... Seems like everyone is happy with "their" setup whatever that may be....

they all work. it depends on budget
coilover + uas gives you the MOST adjustability IMO, but really, its all just a strut with a bag on it.

My stock UL suspension was still fine when I switched over to AirRunner w/ Accuair. I had a Data System controller on it and ran it pretty low most of the time. I had 145k on the stock struts. Honestly as far as setup is concerned its pretty much preference. All air suspension setups have their downfalls and failures.

I'm leaning heavily to a BC+uas combo... Any drawbacks?
Originally was looking at airlift, but if a bag fails I can't just pick up the phone and order another. Uas provides me that flex.

My AirRex+Accuair setup is for sale off my 2004 LS430 UL.
