How to remedy a P1135?

Hello VSC, I have an 01 Q45.

Just a few days ago my SES came on and I scanned it and there were two codes. I had P0325 and P1135. The P0325 had been there since I had bought the car but the P1135 had just shown up. I noticed my car has been a little bit sluggish, but that's usually after I been stuck in traffic for a while so I don't know if there's any correlation with the P1135 code. So with that being said, the P1135 is Intake Valve Timing Control Bank 2. I had Googled that and some say an oil change then clearing the code might remedy that, but in my case it didn't. I can't find much in here or at anywhere online that is a remedy geared towards the Q45.

So my question, how should I remedy this? What sensors could be bad? And does the knock sensor have anything to do with it?

Thanks, I really appreciate it. I'm going to be at work, so I'll text you on my lunch break. I'm not allowed to use my phone during work.

I'll report back here when I figure out the troubleshooting procedures/remedy in case if any others need this info.

I got in contact with TougeSC3, want to thank him for the help. I been busy with work, so right now I'm posting what TougeSC3 has advised me to do.

So either the IVTC solenoid is dirty and gummed up with dirty stuff from the oil or the sensor has gone bad. So check the voltage on the green and yellow wire and use the battery as ground. It should be reading up to 5v and anywhere between that is fine. Also, you can use the other sensor as reference. Also, check resistance to the sensors between the two prongs. If it's getting voltage then simply pull the sensor off and clean it with some brake cleaner. Reset it, and if you're still throwing codes then chances are the sensor is bad and needs replacing.

Another thing I had thought of was maybe before changing it or even cleaning it is to pull both sensors and swap them. I'm not 100% sure they're the exact sensors, I will find out right now, but what I found out online was that they're the same. Given that they're the same, swap the sensors and clear the codes. If you throw another code for the left side(passenger) then it's the sensor, if not, it's going to be something else.

I will report back after I'm done or after some driving next week.

Just got all that done. Sprayed the right bank down with some brake clean. I pulled both of them out, and swapped the left bank with the right, so now I'll drive and see if I get any more codes.

P.S You'll need a 27mm deep socket to get that sensor out.

Drove to work that is a 35 mile commute, scanned the car and there was a pending code of P1110. So that confirms that it is indeed the solenoid. Checked it again after I got home and the code was gone. Checked it again after work the next day, still no sign. Maybe debris were loosen by brake clean and the oil took it all way.
