It happened to my mom's Altima, the brake lights were constantly on. There's some rubber nipples that press these buttons down every time you don't have your brakes engaged, and those go bad when they get brittle. Check your floor to see if you see little rubber/plastic pieces. Just crawl under into the leg area of the driver side and look up and along the pedal its Hope that this helped and it's the same, good luck!

It was a little button that was brittle and broke off and fell onto the floor mat. I followed the brake peddle up and realized there's 2 buttons that meet the brake pettle that disable the brakes for u to pull the knob out of park. I glued the piece that fell onto the floor back in the hole wich it fell of and it fixed it. If u take ur time and really investigate the brake peddle, u kan fix It in less that 5 min. !!!!!!!!

No problem, dude. Glad that was the issue. Guess it's a common issue with Nissans and Infinitis, and still the same design on the newer models.

Same thing happened to me. I had to keep disconnecting my battery.

I thought of just doing that too but it'd probably be better with the rubber nipple from factory or cover that screw with something soft/rubbery. Since the screw is metal it might be a little harsh on that plastic button and eventually break it.
